On the afternoon of August 22, many universities officially announced their admission scores for 2025. Among them, a series of majors only require 15 points based on high school graduation exam scores.

Saigon International University (SIU) :

Saigon International University announced the admission scores of 3 admission methods. For the admission method based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam, the admission score for each major ranges from 15 to 18 points.

According to the high school transcript admission method, the admission score for all majors is from 18 points. This is the total score of 3 subjects in the admission combination for the whole 12th grade, and candidates need to have training results from good level or higher.

With the admission method based on the results of the 2025 Competency Assessment Test (CAT) scores, the admission standard for SIU's 29 training programs is 600 points or higher, according to the 1,200-point scale in the CAT exam of Ho Chi Minh City National University.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages ​​and Information Technology (HUFLIT):

The benchmark score according to the high school graduation exam results of HUFLIT ranges from 15 to 17 points. Some majors with high benchmark scores include: English, Chinese, marketing and multimedia communications with 17 points; the remaining majors mostly take 15 points.

In the 12th grade transcript review method (on a 30-point scale), the benchmark score ranges from 18 to 20 points. In particular, the highest score for English, Chinese, marketing and multimedia communication majors is 20 points.

With the method of considering the National University of Ho Chi Minh City's General Admission Test scores (1,200 points scale), the standard scores for majors range from 500 to 600 points. Majors such as: English language, Chinese language, marketing and multimedia communication have the highest score of 600 points.

Hung Vuong University Ho Chi Minh City (DHV):

DHV's 2025 admission benchmark is from 15 to 20 points based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam. Out of a total of 19 majors with 50 training majors, psychology has the highest benchmark score of 20 points, the law group is 18 points and the remaining majors are 15 points.

Nguyen Tat Thanh University:

The benchmark score for health majors at Nguyen Tat Thanh University is from 17 to 20.5 points, the benchmark score for the remaining majors is 15 points.

Gia Dinh University:

The benchmark score for most majors at Gia Dinh University is only 15 points. The major with the highest score is Dentistry with 20.5 points. Next are artificial intelligence, information technology, Chinese language, multimedia, marketing, logistics & supply chain management with scores ranging from 16 - 17 points.

For the method of considering transcripts, the standard score for most majors is 16 points, the capacity assessment is 550 points, and for the Dentistry - Maxillofacial major, the higher score is 700 points/1,200.

For the high school graduation exam score method, the standard score for most majors is 15 points. In particular, sports economics is 17 points, artificial intelligence is 16 points, and software engineering is 16.8 points.

With the method of considering 12th grade transcripts and interviews, the standard score for all majors is 18 points. Sports economics is 19.45 points, artificial intelligence is 18.73 points.

According to the exam score review method, Ho Chi Minh City National University has a score of 600 points, and Hanoi National University's exam is 67 points.

Vietnam Aviation Academy:

The Flight Operations Management major based on high school graduation exam scores has the highest score of 27 points, the remaining majors range from 18 to 25 points.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade (HUIT):

The highest standard score for the University of Industry and Trade in 2025 is 26.5 points for the method of considering academic records, 24.5 points for the method of considering high school graduation exam scores. The standard score for the high school graduation exam method ranges from 17-24.5 points.

Ho Chi Minh City College of Economics announced admission scores with two methods: considering high school graduation exam scores and 12th grade high school study results.

Accordingly, the highest standard score for information technology, multimedia graphics, information technology and software applications is 16 points (based on high school graduation exam scores) and 18 points (based on high school academic results). The remaining majors all have 15 points in both admission methods.

According to statistics from the Ministry of Education and Training, nearly 850,000 candidates have registered for admission, with a total of about 7.6 million applications, with each candidate registering for nearly 9 applications on average. This is a record high in the past 5 years, so the virtual admission rate has increased.

Previously, the Ministry of Education and Training announced that schools should focus on checking all data, ensuring that the admission process is accurate, without missing or incorrectly identifying successful candidates, and at the same time minimizing situations arising due to technical errors during the admission process. August 22 is the last day that the Ministry of Education and Training's admission system will carry out the virtual filtering process to determine the results of university admission in 2025, round 1. The Ministry of Education and Training also noted that training institutions should not announce the benchmark scores before 12:30 on August 22, 2025.

The 2025 university admission scores are determined by the percentile method, to ensure fairness among candidates applying for admission using different methods and combinations. Some schools may announce separate admission scores for each method or combination, while some schools provide a common score with a corresponding conversion table.

Note, after knowing the benchmark score, successful candidates (including direct candidates) must confirm their admission online on the Ministry of Education and Training's system (if they wish to study) before 5:00 p.m. on August 30, 2025. Then, complete the procedure at the school or the school's online system according to the instructions.

From September 1 to December 2025, candidates who need to apply for additional admission rounds of the training institution must follow the admission information posted on the institution's admission information page.
