On March 28th, the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, organized a job fair, bringing together 35 businesses with 48 booths, offering more than 500 job openings.

At the job fair, many technology, chip, and software companies offered very high starting salaries for final-year students and recent graduates.

Ms. Vu Thi Mai Trang, Human Resources Director of VeriSilicon Vietnam Co., Ltd., said the company is recruiting for the positions of Digital Frontend Design Engineer and Digital Frontend Design Verification Engineer. These positions are for final-year students or recent graduates in computer science, computer engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, and related fields.

According to Ms. Trang, suitable candidates are those interested in chip design, motivated to develop themselves, possessing teamwork skills and creativity. In addition, the company requires a GPA of 7.0 or higher, good spoken English, and a positive attitude towards work.

Ms. Trang stated that the company's salary structure is competitive in the market. Besides salary and bonuses, employees also have the opportunity to receive training from experienced staff. According to Ms. Trang, even interns earn over 15 million VND per month, while recent graduates can earn over 20 million VND per month.

Mr. Pham Thanh Tin, PD Manager at SVC Technologies Co., Ltd. (Ho Chi Minh City), said the company is recruiting fresher PD and DFT positions with a starting salary of over 15 million VND per month.

Mr. Tin stated that, in addition to professional expertise, candidates with English language skills would have an advantage. A high GPA would also make the application stand out. However, what businesses expect from young people is still a willingness to learn and adapt to new fields.

In the web development field, Ms. Tran Thi Hoang Thu, a recruitment and human resources specialist at Zigexn Ventura Co., Ltd. (Ho Chi Minh City), said that the company is implementing an internship program for web development positions. Interns receive a stipend of 3.5 - 4 million VND per month. After 3 months, if suitable, candidates may be officially hired with a salary of over 10 million VND per month, or even higher if they perform well.

According to Ms. Thu, the company doesn't place too much emphasis on candidates being proficient in a specific programming language, but rather focuses more on logical thinking, self-learning ability, and a proactive attitude. Upon joining, employees will receive training in new languages ​​and support in developing communication and soft skills.

"Besides their salary, full-time employees only need to come to the company 2-3 times a week; the rest of the time they can work remotely. We also cover 100% of insurance costs, review salary and insurance adjustments twice a year, and offer many other internal activities," Ms. Thu added.

Ms. Nguyen Phuoc Tuong Anh, HR specialist at BioTuring (Ho Chi Minh City), said the company is recruiting for three positions through a training program: software engineer, bioinformatician, and product manager. The program targets final-year students or graduates with less than two years of experience, with a GPA requirement of 3.0 or higher.

According to Ms. Tuong Anh, the salary for these positions ranges from 15 to 18 million VND per month. After 5 months, employees will be considered for salary adjustments based on their actual performance.

Ms. Truong Minh Thao, HR and admin at AnyGen AI Company (Ho Chi Minh City), said the company is currently recruiting for 6 engineering positions, with a minimum salary of 9-13 million VND/month. Newly graduated candidates are preferred if they have conversational English, sufficient professional knowledge to pass the test, and the ability to work with foreign bosses and colleagues.

Meanwhile, Ms. Ngo Thi Nga, representative of Cube System (Ho Chi Minh City), said that this Japanese company is recruiting interns fluent in Japanese with a monthly allowance of approximately 2 million VND. Candidates will participate in programming, support web and mobile development projects, and are encouraged to research and apply new technologies.

Mr. Du Thanh Dat, representative of NEC Vietnam Co., Ltd., said that the company is recruiting interns for frontend developer, backend developer, full-stack developer, and BrSE-oriented positions. The stipend can be up to 5 million VND per month. In addition, interns will be provided with free learning software, participate in Japanese language classes, and receive further skills training.

Mr. Chau Uy Luc, General Director of TecAlliance Vietnam, said that the company's recruitment needs are quite diverse, ranging from full-stack, backend, frontend to machine learning, AI, DevOps and design. Currently, there are 12 job openings.
