According to the report of the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee, the concluding activities will be implemented on three closely linked pillars: scientific research; activities and events; and information and communication work. Each task is concretized, with clear assignments and responsibilities, attracting the participation of key agencies in the field of culture and arts.

Regarding the scientific research component, the summary includes five scientific tasks, with the participation of the Central Council for Theoretical and Critical Studies of Literature and Arts; the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences; Hanoi National University; and Ho Chi Minh City National University. In addition, the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, central and local specialized literature and arts associations will coordinate with research institutions to organize seminars on key issues; leading to the organization of conferences in each field of literature and arts. Based on this, a national conference will be held on the theme "50 Years of Vietnamese Literature and Arts after National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025): Issues and Development Directions".

The focus is on clarifying key issues such as the historical context and development of Vietnamese culture and arts over the past 50 years; the process of development, achievements, limitations, causes, and challenges in fundamental areas such as innovation in thinking, improving the Party's leadership capacity, the effectiveness and efficiency of state management; creative writing, theory, criticism, and methods of disseminating culture and arts; the issue of introducing and promoting Vietnamese culture and arts abroad and receiving foreign culture and arts in Vietnam; the current state and development trends of artists and the public of culture and arts; and the direction, tasks, and solutions for the development of culture and arts until 2030, with a vision to 2045.

Regarding activities and events, the Vietnam Union of Arts and Literature Associations and the Central specialized arts and literature associations will launch and organize, at all levels and among members nationwide, the creation and promotion of arts and literature works with the theme "Sharing a Common Vietnamese Foundation," exhibitions, selections, and honoring of outstanding arts and literature works from 1975-2025 that have high ideological and artistic value, reflecting the proud development of Vietnamese arts and literature over half a century.

In particular, this occasion will include a National Arts and Culture Conference, summarizing 50 years of Vietnamese arts and culture after the country's reunification, with the participation of prominent Vietnamese artists and writers both domestically and abroad. At the conference, Party and State leaders will meet, listen, and engage in dialogue; thereby strengthening the belief and aspiration to contribute, and together defining the vision, mindset, and responsibility of the arts and culture community towards the future of the country and the development of national arts and culture in the new era; and honoring artists and writers who have made significant contributions to the development of Vietnamese arts and culture 50 years after the country's reunification.

Information and propaganda work will be intensified with diverse forms, focusing on media outlets to prominently reflect the content, significance, and achievements of Vietnamese arts and culture, as well as the role and contributions of the country's artists and writers; and to strengthen the promotion of outstanding works of Vietnamese arts and culture over the past half-century... Publishing houses will organize the publication or reprinting of outstanding works of arts and culture and research projects 50 years after the country's reunification...

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha emphasized the need for a comprehensive and thorough assessment of 50 years of Vietnamese culture and arts, and stressed the importance of a unified methodology for implementing the plan, including a comprehensive outline and in-depth summaries in each specialized field. The ultimate goal of the plan is to evaluate the state of culture and arts since the reunification of the country, assessing achievements, results, causes of existing limitations, and solutions for improvement; it should be divided into different stages of development and placed within the context of the global situation. The Central Council for Theoretical and Critical Studies of Culture and Arts should compile the summary, which will be a very elaborate and substantial document.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha stated that while communication efforts need to be strengthened, the quality of the communication material is crucial. Therefore, the responsibility of theoretical research institutions must be emphasized, along with a strong connection between research, summarization, theory, and communication.

A national arts and culture conference will be held to summarize 50 years of Vietnamese arts and culture after the country's reunification, with the participation of prominent Vietnamese artists and writers from both within the country and abroad (illustrative photo).

Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung stated that, in summarizing 50 years of the country's culture and arts after the complete reunification of the nation, it is necessary to focus on scientific research, based on scientific arguments, to accurately assess the country's literature and arts after 50 years of reunification. These scientific studies will also help in formulating the Party and State's policies and guidelines for literature and art in the future.

At the meeting, representatives from localities and organizations also reported on the implementation of the plan, the difficulties and obstacles encountered during the implementation process, and proposed solutions to ensure the most effective implementation of the plan.

Concluding the meeting, Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia emphasized: Summarizing 50 years of Vietnamese culture and arts after the reunification of the country is a very big task with rich and comprehensive activities, with the spirit of "looking back to move forward".

The Head of the Central Propaganda Department requested relevant units to urgently review and complete the plan for allocating resources to ensure implementation; the organization of scientific seminars should mobilize the participation and contributions of experts and scientists, ensuring the quality of scientific reports, contributing to the summary report to be submitted to the Party Central Committee; thorough and meticulous preparation is needed to successfully organize the National Conference on Arts and Culture summarizing 50 years of Vietnamese arts and culture after the reunification of the country, as directed by the Party Central Committee; modern information technology should be applied to propaganda work on the summary activities, thereby reflecting vividly the content, meaning, achievements of literature and art and the role and contributions of the country's artists and writers.
