According to information from Lao Cai Provincial Police, on May 14, Khanh Yen Town Police, Van Ban District returned 114 million VND to Mr. Nguyen Van Ngoc, born in 1982, permanent residence in Chu Dien Commune, Luc Nam District, Bac Giang Province, who transferred money to the wrong account.

Previously, Ms. Tran Thi Viet, residing in Khanh Yen town, went to the town police to report that her account had received 114 million VND. Because she did not know the origin and purpose of the person who transferred the money, Ms. Viet requested the town police to verify the origin of the money in order to take action.
After the verification period and the response from MB Bank, Khanh Yen Town Police identified the person who transferred money to Ms. Viet's account number as Mr. Nguyen Van Ngoc, born in 1982, with permanent residence in Chu Dien Commune, Luc Nam District, Bac Giang Province. During the working process, it was determined that Mr. Ngoc's money transfer was due to a mistake and had no other purpose, Khanh Yen Town Police handed over the entire amount of 114 million VND to Mr. Ngoc according to regulations.
Through the above incident, Khanh Yen Town Police thanked citizen Tran Thi Viet for her sense of responsibility in promptly reporting to the police when her account had money of unknown origin.
