After ten reunions, former teachers and students of Khanh Binh School from the anti-American resistance period still cherish the bonds of friendship between teachers and students and the memories of the difficult times studying under the simple thatched roof amidst bombs and bullets. Those were the years when teachers and students persevered in staying at school and in their classrooms, sowing the seeds of knowledge in trenches and bunkers to contribute to the cause of national liberation.
“During the years 1960-1965, school buildings were makeshift, and learning was frequently interrupted by bombs and bullets, but teachers and students were determined to stay in class until the end,” recalled Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan, a former student of Khanh Binh School.

Many bravely sacrificed their lives; many others grew up to hold important leadership positions in the province. These are shining examples for today's young generation to follow.
