Immediately afterwards, the commune's Military Command dispatched officers and soldiers to coordinate with local authorities to assess the situation and assist residents in overcoming the consequences. According to initial statistics, 15 houses in Phong Thanh commune were affected by the tornado. Of these, 4 houses had their roofs completely blown off, 1 house had its front roof blown off, and 10 houses suffered minor damage.

The total estimated damage is approximately 150 million VND.

Also on the afternoon of May 24th, a storm ripped off the roofs of 20 houses in Gia Rai ward.

Specifically, Hamlet 19A has 1 household, Hamlet 20 has 12 households, and Hamlet 22 has 7 households. Many transportation routes were affected. Initial estimates of damage are approximately 800 million VND, with no casualties.

Militia forces in Phong Thanh commune are helping people overcome the consequences of the storm.

In Lang Tron ward, 39 houses were reported to have collapsed or had their roofs blown off.

Specifically, in cluster 16B (4 houses completely had their roofs blown off); in cluster 19 (7 houses had their roofs and walls completely blown off); in cluster 20 (2 houses completely collapsed, 11 houses had their roofs and walls blown off); and in cluster 21 (1 house completely collapsed, 14 houses had their roofs and walls blown off). In addition, one power pole collapsed and 12 poles tilted.

Militia forces from the Gia Rai Ward Military Command assisted residents in cleaning up their homes after the storm.

Immediately after receiving the information, local authorities dispatched military and police forces, departments, and organizations to coordinate with the people to assist affected households in overcoming the consequences.

Currently, local authorities are continuing to compile statistics on households affected by the storm and provide support to severely affected households to help them stabilize their lives as soon as possible.

The storm caused trees to fall in Gia Rai ward.

In recent days, the weather in Ca Mau has been erratic, with heavy rain and thunderstorms in many areas in the late afternoon and evening. Authorities advise people to proactively reinforce their houses, trim trees, and monitor weather forecasts to minimize damage during the rainy and stormy season.
