As a province located at the Vietnamese side of the EWEC (East-West Economic Corridor), Quang Tri has proactively proposed many initiatives and organized numerous activities to promote cooperation and development of this corridor, such as: coordinating with the Vietnam Academy of Science to organize the 1992 Road 9 Economic Development Workshop; submitting a proposal to the Government to allow the construction of the Lao Bao Border Economic Zone; issuing many resolutions on socio-economic development associated with the EWEC, especially Resolution No. 06-NQ/TU dated December 12, 2006, of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee on promoting investment and exploiting the potential and advantages of the EWEC until 2010, with consideration to 2015; Organizing the "Trans-Asian Bridge" Festival, the East-West Economic Corridor Cooperation Forum... attracted the attention of many politicians, diplomats , investors, and businesspeople from countries along the EWEC and other countries, creating a positive impression and widespread impact within and outside the Greater Mekong Subregion in the early years of opening this important corridor.
In particular, right from the early years of the province's re-establishment (July 1989), Quang Tri Newspaper played a leading and core role in promoting and exploiting the potential and advantages of Highway 9 from a very early stage. In March 1994, Quang Tri Newspaper proactively published a special issue: "Highway 9 Today".
This can be considered the first journalistic special issue in the province to comprehensively address the comparative advantages of this vital route in gradually expanding economic , cultural, and social exchanges with countries along the EWEC. The special issue, "Highway 9 Today," published articles by provincial leaders, scientists, and leaders of relevant departments and agencies, discussing and analyzing issues such as: Geographical location – a decisive factor and favorable condition for Quang Tri's development; Cua Viet – Highway 9 – Lao Bao in the prosperity of the country; Cua Viet – a connecting point between East and West; Advantages of Highway 9 in the development process; Foreign investment cooperation – opportunities and challenges...
Later, the implementation of Resolution No. 06-NQ/TU dated December 12, 2006, of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee on promoting investment and exploiting the potential and advantages of the East-West Economic Corridor until 2010, with consideration to 2015, opened up new opportunities for the province in the process of integration and development, and Quang Tri Newspaper had even more opportunities to report on this issue more frequently and with more updates.
Almost all prominent events related to the integration process on the EWEC are reported quickly, accurately, and comprehensively by Quang Tri Newspaper, serving the province's leadership and guidance work in a timely manner and meeting the information needs of readers.

One advantage is the attention of the provincial leadership and the support of relevant departments and agencies. Quang Tri Newspaper has sent many reporters to accompany high-ranking provincial leaders on surveys of the entire EWEC, participate in conferences on cooperation in exploiting the EWEC in Thailand and Laos, and participate in the East-West Economic Corridor Week in Da Nang and Quang Tri.
A reporter from the newspaper was given the opportunity to travel the route from Dong Ha to Lao Bao, through Savannakhet, then across the Mekong River, passing through many provinces of Northeast Thailand, through the region's capital Khonkaen, and near the Mesot border crossing between Thailand and Myanmar. This means approximately two-thirds of the route, nearly 1,000 km out of the total 1,450 km length of the entire line, from Tien Sa Port (Da Nang) to Mawlamyine Port (Myanmar).
These trips provided a relatively comprehensive view of the EWEC, offering valuable source material and inspiring journalists to write numerous articles addressing the need to strengthen cooperation in exploiting the strengths of the EWEC along the entire route. They also predicted potential difficulties and challenges, and proposed solutions to overcome them, ensuring this strategically important corridor remains unobstructed and brings tangible benefits to each province and country.
Thanks to early access and the provision of quick, accurate, timely, and effective information, the Quang Tri newspaper has published many insightful articles that have been highly appreciated by readers, analyzing positive changes in the process of cooperation and integration on the EWEC, such as: Goals from transportation connectivity to economic success; From transportation connectivity to a prosperous development community; East-West Economic Corridor - linking for development...
The newspaper also published numerous articles analyzing the comparative advantages of Quang Tri province in anticipating cooperation and development along the entire route, especially the construction of the Lao Bao Border Economic Zone; identifying the EWEC as a dynamic economic route with an organic impact on three key economic zones of Quang Tri province: the Lao Bao Border Economic Zone, Dong Ha city, and the Cua Tung-Cua Viet-Con Co Island tourism and service economic zone. The series of articles "Quang Tri and the integration process on the East-West Economic Corridor" by reporters from Quang Tri Newspaper was awarded the A prize at the 3rd Quang Tri Provincial Journalism Awards - 2008.
In another collaboration, from October 7th to October 14th, 2007, an editor and a graphic designer from Quang Tri Newspaper were sent to Savanphathana Newspaper (Savannakhet Province, Laos) for training in journalistic photography and the application of Photoshop technology in image processing.
During the training, editors and graphic designers from Quang Tri Newspaper imparted the basic theoretical content and technical aspects of software installation, practical skills, newspaper layout applications, and digital image processing using Photoshop technology.
We help you take a step forward in newspaper presentation, from graphic design and masthead redesign to category and section layout, and complete the publishing process from preparation at the editorial office to final printing at the printing house.

In fact, promoting investment and exploiting the advantages of the EWEC (East-West Economic Corridor) has always been a topic of interest for the press.
With the development of EWEC, readers are looking forward to accessing timely and accurate information, along with recommendations, suggestions, and directions for a favorable development roadmap so that Highway 9 and EWEC continue to fully embody the "practical," "most economical," and "dream route" for the entire community in the region on the trans-Asian journey.
