Real estate sector leads the way, VN-Index surpasses 1,900 points.

On May 7th, the Vietnamese stock market continued its positive performance as strong buying pressure focused on real estate stocks, helping the VN-Index rise 17.81 points to 1,909.01 points. Market liquidity increased compared to the previous session, while foreign investors continued to net sell more than 283 billion VND.

Market liquidity increased compared to the previous session, with a total trading volume of over 1,033 million shares across all three exchanges, equivalent to a total trading value of over 31,224 billion VND.

Foreign investors continued to heavily net sell across all three exchanges, with a net selling volume of over 283 billion VND, focusing on stocks such as FPT (372.93 billion VND),ACB (296.65 billion VND), BSR (99.31 billion VND), KDH (89.79 billion VND), VCI (73.92 billion VND), etc.

Conversely, the stocks with the highest net buying volume in this session included MSN (376.42 billion VND), GEX (144.06 billion VND), VHM (110.54 billion VND), POW (109.49 billion VND), HDB (86.8 billion VND), etc.

On the HoSE exchange, the trading value in this session increased compared to the previous session, reaching over 25,924 billion VND.

In this session, the stocks that contributed positively to the VN-Index's increase of 24.47 points included: VHM, VIC, STB, LPB, HDB, MSN, GEE, VPL, GEX, and CTG.

Conversely, the stocks that negatively impacted the VN-Index, causing it to drop by 4.94 points, included: GAS, BSR , VCB, PLX, SAB, TCB, NVL, ACB, BVH, and DCM.

In terms of sectors, software stocks performed negatively in this session, falling 0.38%, mainly due toFPT and ELC. A few stocks that increased included CMG and ITD.

The banking sector stocks were mostly in the green this session, rising by 0.69%, mainly driven by CTG, VPB, MBB, LPB, HDB, STB, EIB, MSB, OCB, NAB… A few stocks declined, including VCB, BID, TCB, ACB, VIB, TPB…

Real estate stocks recorded a 2.51% increase in this session, mainly driven by VIC, VHM, KSF, VPI, IDC, etc. Conversely, declining stocks included VRE, BCM, NVL, KBC, CRV, DXG, SJS, PDR, TCH, TAL, SIP, NLG, DXG, etc.

Energy stocks traded mostly in the red, closing down 3.71%, mainly driven by stocks like BSR, PLX, PVS, PVD, OIL, PVT, PVP, PVC, ALC, VTO, TMB… A few stocks rose, including PSB, ASP, PMS, PEQ…
