The flowers that shine from the youth movement
The Kim Dong Award, organized by the Central Council of the Young Pioneers, is a prestigious award given to outstanding Young Pioneers cadres and members nationwide who have achieved excellent results in their studies, training, and Young Pioneers activities. This year, Thai Nguyen province is honored to have 3 outstanding Young Pioneers members receive this prestigious award.
Among the outstanding Young Pioneers of Thai Nguyen, Ngo Quynh Chi, the leader of class 6A at Chua Hang II Secondary School (Linh Son ward), stands out with many excellent achievements in academics and Young Pioneer activities. For many years, she has received the title of "Good Child of Uncle Ho" at various levels, and in 2025 she was honored to be recognized as a "Good Child of Uncle Ho" at the 10th National ceremony.
Besides being an excellent student who has won numerous awards in intellectual competitions such as IOE, ASMO, and VioEdu, Quynh Chi also actively participates in youth movement activities, volunteer work, and youth outreach programs of the school's Youth Union.
Sharing her secret, Quynh Chi said: "I always try to manage my time effectively between studying and team activities. Each activity helps me grow and gain more meaningful experiences."
For Nguyen Minh Chau, a member of the Le Van Tam Primary School's Youth Union (Phan Dinh Phung ward), being one of the three outstanding Youth Union members in Thai Nguyen to receive the Kim Dong Award for the 2025-2026 school year is a great honor and source of pride.
During a program organized by the Central Youth Union Council at the Hanoi Children's Palace, Minh Chau visited the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, toured the Ho Chi Minh Historical Relic Site, met with Party and State leaders, and interacted with many outstanding child delegates from across the country on the occasion of the 85th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Organization.
Minh Châu emotionally shared: "Participating in the Kim Dong Award is a very special experience for me. Visiting Uncle Ho's mausoleum made me even more proud of the Young Pioneers' tradition and I will try my best to study and train well to be worthy of being a good child of Uncle Ho."
These meaningful experiences not only motivated Minh Chau to strive harder, but also contributed to spreading pride in the glorious traditions of the Youth Pioneer Organization to the children of her hometown, Thai Nguyen.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet, Head of the Youth Union at Du Secondary School, who led the Youth Union's participation in the 2026 Pink Swallow Award and the 2025-2026 Kim Dong Award ceremony, said: "This is not only a joy and pride for the young members but also a motivation for the Youth Unions to continue promoting the emulation movement of good learning and good training. Through the program, the children have the opportunity to interact and learn from many exemplary children nationwide, thereby becoming more confident, mature, and more aware of their responsibilities to the collective, the school, and the Youth Union organization. Spreading positive movements among children.
During the first semester of the 2025-2026 school year, youth group activities and children's movements in Thai Nguyen province continued to be implemented enthusiastically, creating an environment for members and children to train, grow, and compete to effectively carry out the movement "Vietnamese children compete to follow the 5 teachings of Uncle Ho".
With 544 youth teams across the province, many practical and meaningful activities have been organized, contributing to the education of traditions, fostering beautiful ideals, and inspiring creativity in the younger generation.

A prominent highlight of the youth group movement in schools is the widespread implementation of traditional education activities, journeys to historical roots, and the building of the "Good Children of Uncle Ho" title in 100% of the youth groups. Thematic programs such as "One beautiful story, one good book, one shining example each week," activities like "Paying gratitude," "Remembering the source of the water we drink," caring for martyrs' cemeteries, and visiting families of policy beneficiaries are regularly maintained, helping children better understand and be proud of the traditions of their homeland and country.
Furthermore, the movement to encourage learning and creativity continues to spread strongly through models such as "Good Grades," "Partners in Progress," learning clubs, STEM playgrounds, AI-Robotics, and digital experiences. These activities not only create a vibrant learning environment but also contribute to the development of digital skills and creative thinking for children in the new era.
Military units at all levels in the province also pay special attention to caring for and supporting disadvantaged children. In the first semester, nearly 15,700 children received support with a total budget of nearly 2 billion VND through many meaningful models such as "Friendship Circle," "Saving money in plastic piggy banks," "Red Scarf Chicken Farm," etc. This further motivates them to overcome difficulties and strive for success in their studies and lives.
In addition to focusing on the movement, the work of building the Youth Pioneer Organization continues to be strengthened in a practical and effective direction. 100% of the Youth Pioneer teams held their congresses in accordance with the Youth Pioneer Charter; the clubs "Team Leader," "Little Reporter," and "Young Pioneer Propaganda Team" were effectively maintained. Children's Star activities were implemented in an orderly manner, contributing to building a healthy and beneficial collective environment for children.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Anh, Chairwoman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Youth Union Council, stated: "The Youth Union throughout the province will continue to innovate its content and methods of operation in a way that is close to and suitable for today's children; focusing on educating life skills, digital skills, and fostering ideals and aspirations for contribution among them. We hope that each movement and activity of the Youth Union will truly become an environment for children to experience, train, and develop comprehensively, contributing to building a generation of young people rich in knowledge, compassion, and responsibility towards the community."
