Visiting and extending congratulations on the occasion of Buddha's Birthday to prominent Buddhist dignitaries.

On May 21st, Mr. Dao Van Xem, Head of the Religious Affairs Department of the An Giang Provincial Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, led a delegation to visit and present gifts to prominent Buddhist dignitaries in the province, on the occasion of the Buddha's Birthday celebration, Buddhist calendar 2570 - Gregorian calendar 2026.

Dao Van Xem , Head of the Religious Affairs Department of the An Giang Provincial Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, presents gifts to Venerable Nun Thich Nu Dieu Thong, abbess of That Buu Pagoda .

Specifically, the delegation visited and presented gifts to Venerable Danh Thiep, Member of the Central Executive Council, Deputy Head of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Association of An Giang province, and Vice President of the Patriotic Monks' Solidarity Association of An Giang province (An Chau commune); Venerable Nun Thich Nu Dieu Thong and Venerable Thich Van Thanh (An Chau commune); Venerable Thich Giac Nguyen (Binh Hoa commune); Venerable Thich Minh Duc (Tan An commune); and Senior Venerable Thich Buu Ngoc (Vinh Hau commune).

The Department of Ethnic and Religious Affairs of An Giang province presented gifts to Venerable Thich Giac Nguyen in Binh Hoa commune.

During his visits, Mr. Dao Van Xem, Head of the Religious Affairs Department of the An Giang Provincial Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, extended his best wishes to the Venerable monks, nuns, and Buddhist followers for a joyful, happy, and spiritually fulfilling Vesak celebration. He also acknowledged and highly appreciated the positive contributions of Buddhist establishments to social welfare, caring for the people's lives, maintaining national unity, and supporting local socio -economic development.

Mr. Dao Van Xem hopes that monks, nuns, and Buddhist dignitaries will continue to uphold the tradition of living a "good life and a beautiful faith," actively encouraging monks, nuns, and Buddhists to strictly abide by the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws; respond to patriotic emulation movements, and join hands in building new rural areas and civilized urban areas, contributing to building a more prosperous, beautiful, and compassionate An Giang homeland.
