Trieu Duong Bridge – Connecting lives, expanding trade.
The Trieu Duong Bridge was inaugurated in 1995 on National Highway 39A, spanning the Luoc River and connecting Tien Luu District ( Hung Yen Province) with Hung Ha District (Thai Binh Province). With its sturdy reinforced concrete structure, approximately 400m long and 10m wide deck, the Trieu Duong Bridge ensures the transportation needs of local residents and the movement of goods, including heavy trucks.
Before the bridge was built, people on both sides of the river mainly traveled by ferry, facing many difficulties during the rainy season and floods. The inauguration of the Trieu Duong Bridge has made crossing the river safer, faster, and smoother year-round. In particular, the bridge has significantly contributed to promoting trade and improving the efficiency of production and business for residents of the two provinces. Agricultural products, construction materials, and consumer goods circulate more easily, and the lives of the people have improved noticeably as a result.
Beyond its economic value, the Trieu Duong Bridge is also a cherished part of community life. Mr. Dinh Van Xuyen from Hung Ha district (Thai Binh province) shared: "My house is on this side, my wife's is on the other side of the river. Since the Trieu Duong Bridge was built, traveling to visit relatives, attend ancestral ceremonies, or pick up and drop off children and grandchildren has become very convenient. Now, hearing the news of the two provinces merging, crossing this bridge makes me feel closer, as if my hometown and my wife's hometown are no longer separated."
The image of Trieu Duong Bridge has also found its way into poetry and music, such as the poem "Crossing Trieu Duong Bridge" by poet Pham Dinh Nhan. song "Beside Trieu Duong Bridge," a song by composer Nguyen Xuan Thap, expresses the deep attachment of the people to this structure, which has witnessed countless changes.
La Tien Bridge – A strategic link for a new development journey.
If the Trieu Duong Bridge marked the beginning of the transportation connection between Hung Yen and Thai Binh provinces, then the La Tien Bridge is a strategic step contributing to the completion of the region's infrastructure network. The La Tien Bridge spans the Luoc River, connecting Hung Ha district (Thai Binh province) with Phu Cu district (Hung Yen province), and is part of the inter-provincial road project connecting the Ring Road V of the Hanoi Capital Region with National Highway 38B and the Hanoi-Hai Phong Expressway.
The La Tien Bridge has a bridge section length of over 1km (total route 7.8km). This is an important project aimed at creating a continuous road connecting the two provinces of Thai Binh and Hung Yen, linking expressways and national highways, connecting with traffic routes leading to the center of Thai Binh city and facilitating trade with provinces in the Red River Delta, gradually completing the transportation network according to the plan; ensuring traffic safety and improving transport capacity, creating spaces for industrial and urban development, creating conditions for economic and social development; and connecting the Luoc River dike with National Highway 38B and National Highway 39, ensuring rescue, relief, and disaster prevention during the rainy season and floods...
With the merger of Hung Yen and Thai Binh provinces, the La Tien bridge has become an important link connecting industrial clusters and new residential areas, creating a solid foundation for synchronized and interconnected economic and social development.
Ms. Dang Thi Chieu , People in Nguyen Hoa commune (Phu Cu district) share: When Hung Yen and Thai Binh provinces are merged, the La Tien bridge will serve as a new link for development in the entire region.
Two bridges, two sturdy connecting spans, will continue to tell the story of the development of the Hung Yen - Thai Binh region. From the ferries of yesteryear to the wide roads of today, the Luoc River is no longer an obstacle hindering transportation, but a witness, a bridge connecting joyful shores, uniting hearts and minds...
