The meeting and exchange program "50 Years of Complete Victory for Us," organized by the People's Army Newspaper (QĐND) in coordination with various agencies and units at the Reunification Hall (Ho Chi Minh City), was a great success.

Emotion and pride were the overarching themes of the program as the organizers, along with officers, soldiers, and today's youth, had the opportunity to welcome and listen to the heroic stories of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, generals, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, and veterans who participated in the resistance war against the US, especially those who directly participated in the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign.

The program, held at the Independence Palace, a special national historical site commemorating the glorious historical event of our complete victory 50 years ago, is a practical and important activity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the Unification of the Country (April 30, 1975 / April 30, 2025).

Major General Doan Xuan Bo, Secretary of the Party Committee, Editor-in-Chief of the People's Army Newspaper, and Head of the organizing committee of the program, welcomed, greeted, and chatted with the delegates.

They greeted and chatted with each other on the occasion of their reunion in a special place - the Independence Palace historical site.

The youth of the People's Army Newspaper provided support to the elderly delegates.

Colonel Tran The Tuyen, former Head of the People's Army Newspaper's representative office in Ho Chi Minh City, was delighted and moved to meet the members of tank crew 390 again.

Lieutenant General Pham Van Dy, former Political Commissar of Military Region 7, shared his inspiring message for today's young generation.

Colonel Nguyen Van Tau (Tu Cang), a Hero of the People's Armed Forces, took the time to recount heroic battle stories to the younger generation.

Lieutenant General Truong Thien To, Deputy Head of the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army, cordially visited and inquired about the well-being of Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Thi Huu Tai.

The heroic stories and cheerful, enthusiastic demeanor of the generals and Heroes of the People's Armed Forces who participated in the program have inspired and motivated today's young generation to strive for excellence.

The young soldiers were enthusiastic about the stories shared during the traditional exchange.

The youth of Ho Chi Minh City responded to the exchange program in their own unique style, expressing their patriotism and national pride.

Generals, veterans of past battles, and former comrades rejoiced at the reunion.
