Gone are the crowded, even somewhat chaotic scenes; the streets here are gradually taking on a neater, more civilized appearance.
Alongside the elevated urban railway line, a system of propaganda billboards has been installed synchronously and neatly in the lush green flowerbeds along the sidewalks of Ho Tung Mau Street. Amidst the bustling traffic, many people feel more comfortable now that the sidewalks have been renovated and become more spacious thanks to the presence of billboards carrying the message "Determined to build Phu Dien Ward into a bright, green, clean, and beautiful place." Since the beginning of 2026, these slogans have served as a reminder for residents to work together to build a civilized and modern urban area.
Along Phu Dien road, billboards with relatable and easy-to-understand messages appear every few meters. These billboards are no longer rigid signs but are designed to be lively and visually appealing, making the messages easy to remember and implement. Each slogan contributes to guiding behavior and raising community awareness.

The billboards are placed in green spaces, interspersed with images of the vibrant red national flag hanging along the streets, creating a scene that is both solemn and lively. These small details contribute to a cleaner, more modern urban landscape every day. The slogan "Every citizen is an ambassador of culture and civilization" carries profound meaning, as each individual is not only a beneficiary but also an active participant in shaping the face of the city.

The message about urban order is also clearly conveyed on the billboards through the content "Sidewalk order, urban civility," reminding people not to encroach on public space for business, and not to erect illegal awnings or advertising signs.

Meanwhile, the banner with the message "Maintain environmental hygiene, dispose of trash on time and in the designated place" combined with an image of a recycling bin conveys a clear message about responsibility for environmental protection.

According to Mr. Le Anh Tuan, a resident of Mai Dich Street, the changes are not only in the landscape but also in the awareness of the people. Businesses have proactively reduced the size of their awnings and canopies; rearranged their signs; and goods no longer encroach on the sidewalks as before. "Vehicles park in designated areas more regularly. Waste is collected promptly, public areas are cleaner, and trees are better cared for," Mr. Tuan shared.
It's not just Mr. Tuan; many residents of Phu Dien ward also believe that sidewalk encroachment and urban disorder were once persistent problems that seemed insurmountable. However, recently, with the joint efforts of the government and residents, the situation has been gradually brought under effective control. Many businesses, despite initial inconveniences and disruptions, have gradually recognized the long-term benefits of having a neater, more civilized business space, creating a positive impression on customers. Residents express their delight at the clearer sidewalks and the more attractive urban landscape.

Evaluating urban beautification efforts, Chairman of Phu Dien Ward People's Committee Nguyen Van Hai stated that, in addition to maintaining and caring for infrastructure, the locality continues to implement the plan to address existing urban order issues in phase 3 with the goal of "maintaining, preventing, and combating re-violations." The Steering Committee 197 has intensified inspections and enforcement of violations related to traffic order, urban order, and environmental sanitation, especially on main roads and areas at risk of re-violations.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Hai, the shift in people's awareness is spreading positively. People are proactively maintaining hygiene and complying with regulations; business owners are voluntarily rearranging their trading spaces. This is a noteworthy sign, creating a foundation for maintaining long-term results. "In the coming time, the ward will continue to promote the application of technology, gradually implementing digital transformation in urban order management, integrating AI camera systems to improve the effectiveness of monitoring and handling violations," Mr. Nguyen Van Hai emphasized.
From simple billboards to increasingly clean and beautiful streets, Phu Dien is demonstrating an effective approach to urban beautification: using public awareness campaigns as a foundation and putting the people at the center. When each citizen becomes a "cultural ambassador," a civilized city is no longer a distant goal but is present in daily life. Through small but persistent changes, the urban landscape is gradually being perfected in a more civilized, disciplined, and sustainable direction.
