Toan and Van studied in the same year, same high school, two classes a few blocks apart, every day cycling to school past each other's house but the two never talked during their high school years. It was not until he became a student at the Army Officer School 1, and she became a Literature student at Hanoi Pedagogical University 2, during the school reunion, that they fell in love with each other. At first, it was a glance, a moment of hesitation, then during the party, he took the initiative to ask for their phone number. At that time, they considered each other as friends to share their studies and life. But gradually, love blossomed.

If at first, Van found her friend to be gentle, calm, and reserved, now Toan has proven his maturity, responsibility, and sincerity through every word and action he has made towards his girlfriend. The military learning environment has made him have less time to care for his girlfriend than other couples, but Van sympathizes and loves Toan even more.
The young teacher remembers most the occasion when her boyfriend arranged time to take her to see her teammates practice A80. In the harsh sun, looking at each strong, disciplined movement, the sweat running down the faces of the soldiers, Van felt more clearly the hardship and sacrifice of the soldiers wearing those glorious, honorable uniforms. Looking up at her boyfriend, the teacher felt proud and more in love with the job and ideals that Toan had chosen and devoted himself to.
That's why Van's colleagues often tease: "Every time I hear Van lecture on the topic of soldiers, her voice is like a fire burning in her heart." When they come together, both of them like the saying: "Loving the army means accepting distance, loving the teacher means accepting patience." And perhaps it is the combination of "the green of the soldier's uniform" and "the white chalk of the podium" that has created a love that is both simple and lasting. One person is attached to the classroom, sowing the seeds of knowledge for students; the other person wears a military uniform, day and night guarding the peace of the Fatherland. The two jobs seem very different, but they meet in common: dedication, responsibility and loyalty. Both also share the belief that their love has sacrifices, but in return it is a love full of trust, respect and longevity./.
