Việt NamViệt Nam13/08/2024

Implementing the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction, over the years, Dien Bien province has organized many social welfare activities to help ethnic minority people here have the opportunity to rise out of poverty. In particular, many communes and districts in disadvantaged areas, such as Tua Chua district, have also received contributions from charitable organizations to create livelihoods and support people in improving their lives.

Vietnam.vn presents to you the photo series "The Joy of Giving and Receiving Livelihoods" by author Hoang Hai Giang. The series depicts the joy, excitement, and happiness of impoverished families in Huoi So commune, Tua Chua district, Dien Bien province, upon receiving breeding cows from benefactors – a source of happiness as they contemplate their future. The author submitted this photo series to the "Happy Vietnam" photo and video contest, organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications .

Through funding from central and local poverty reduction programs and projects, people in the mountainous district of Tủa Chùa have received support for raising buffalo and cattle. As a result, many poor households have had the opportunity to improve their production, overcome poverty, and enhance their economic capacity.

Recognizing sustainable poverty reduction as a crucial and ongoing political task in the local socio-economic development plan, Tủa Chùa district has strengthened the leadership and guidance of the Party committee and government, and the coordination of the Fatherland Front and other organizations in implementing poverty reduction efforts, improving the capacity and awareness of officials and people regarding poverty reduction linked to the construction of new rural areas.

The district is stepping up its efforts to raise awareness among the people to overcome poverty, focusing on developing production, supporting vocational training, creating jobs, increasing income, building and replicating specialized production models, and supporting technology transfer activities to guide poor households on how to do business. At the same time, the district is mobilizing all resources to invest in infrastructure development to serve socio-economic development, contributing to sustainable poverty reduction…
