Ensuring a stable and safe electricity supply.

Reporting to the delegation, the Director of Nam Tu Liem Power Company, Nguyen Viet Hung, stated that Nam Tu Liem Power Company is one of 30 district-level power companies under the Hanoi Electricity Corporation (EVN Hanoi), responsible for supplying electricity to the entire Nam Tu Liem district; with a total capacity of 1,176 MVA supplying electricity to 115,640 customers.

In 2024, the company's staff and employees made strenuous efforts and overcame many difficulties to successfully complete all assigned tasks, providing stable, safe, and continuous electricity for political activities, national defense and security, economic development, socio-cultural activities, and the daily lives of the people in the district.

Commercial electricity output in 2024 is projected to reach 1.45 billion kWh, a 17% increase compared to the same period in 2023. Electricity revenue is expected to reach VND 3,614 billion, a 24.5% increase compared to 2023. In 2024, there will be 9 medium-voltage incidents, a decrease of 11 incidents compared to the same period in 2023.

Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha personally surveyed the emergency response operations for electricity supply and inquired about the well-being of officials and employees of Nam Tu Liem Power Company.

Nam Tu Liem District has many important landmarks such as Hanoi Television Station, the National Convention Center, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Headquarters, the Vietnam Military History Museum, the Hanoi Museum, My Dinh National Stadium, etc.

Many important events of the Capital and the country were held here, such as: the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital; the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army; the 35th anniversary of National Defense Day… Nam Tu Liem Power Company had nearly 2,500 personnel on duty to ensure electricity supply for more than 100 events taking place in the area.

In fulfillment of the tasks assigned by the city and district leaders and EVN Hanoi, Nam Tu Liem Power Company has implemented a detailed plan to ensure stable and continuous electricity supply for important events before, during, and after the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake 2025.

Furthermore, during the period of ensuring power supply, the frequency of inspections of power line corridors must be increased, especially on critical lines. Prepare spare parts and tools to be ready to handle situations when incidents occur; check communication to ensure uninterrupted service. Coordinate with the Nam Tu Liem District Police to strengthen security at important substations.

During a direct inspection of the power supply response operations and a visit to the staff of Nam Tu Liem Power Company, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha reviewed some outstanding achievements of Hanoi in 2024. Among them, for the first time, Hanoi's state budget revenue exceeded 500 trillion VND, equivalent to the revenue of Ho Chi Minh City, and approximately 25% of the national total.

Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha acknowledged, commended, and highly appreciated the achievements of Hanoi's electricity sector, including Nam Tu Liem Power Company.

In addition to socio-economic development, Hanoi officially announced that it no longer has any poor households, one year ahead of schedule. In 2024, Hanoi was selected as the leading cultural destination in the country.

From January 1, 2025, the 2024 Capital City Law will come into effect, with many implementation mechanisms and policies, along with two major planning schemes for the Capital City, providing the legal basis for the construction and development of Hanoi.

"Hanoi has achieved impressive results, including significant contributions from the electricity sector, which has ensured electricity supply to contribute to the overall socio-economic development of the city as well as major events taking place in the area," emphasized Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha.

Acknowledging, commending, and highly appreciating the achievements of Hanoi's power sector, including Nam Tu Liem Power Company, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha expressed her delight at the neat and orderly work habits – a beautiful cultural aspect of the power industry. Along with that, all reported indicators for the power sector have increased, incidents have decreased, Nam Tu Liem Power Company is one of the top three units among the 30 districts and counties; at the same time, it has top revenue collection figures, and virtually no power outages.

On behalf of the Hanoi City leadership, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha presented gifts from Hanoi City to the staff and employees of Nam Tu Liem Power Company.

According to Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha, in 2025, Hanoi has chosen to hold the New Year's Eve celebration in Nam Tu Liem district, and in the future, Nam Tu Liem district will be the annual location chosen by Hanoi to host major events.

"With the advantage of the location, in addition to the participating forces, the involvement of the electricity sector is extremely important. If the New Year's Eve event organized in the district is successful, it will create momentum for organizing similar events in subsequent years," emphasized Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, Vu Thu Ha.
