The SIAL Paris 2024 International Food Industry Fair, taking place from October 19-23, is an opportunity to promote the national image, the image of Vietnamese businesses and brands; to increase exports of Vietnamese food products with strengths and potential for market development in Europe; and to promote the distribution network of Vietnamese food products in the global market. To take advantage of this, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has taken the lead and assigned the Trade Promotion Department to organize a delegation of 32 Vietnamese businesses to participate in the Fair.

The Vietnamese business delegation displayed and introduced products on an area of ​​over 300 , showcasing a wide variety of Vietnamese goods brought to France by nearly 100 businesses, including: rice, pepper, cinnamon, star anise, cashews, coffee, tea, dried fruits and vegetables, spring roll wrappers, rice noodles, vermicelli, fruit juices, beer, and wine... This is the first time Vietnam has participated in a leading global food and beverage trade fair with such a large delegation of businesses.

To enhance the promotion of Vietnamese businesses' goods participating in the fair, the Trade Promotion Department coordinated with the Trade Office of the Vietnamese Embassy in France to invite high-quality businesses with high demand for the products displayed by Vietnamese businesses to visit and conduct business at the fair. On the very first day of the fair, the booths of Vietnamese businesses attracted a large number of international visitors who came to explore, learn about, and conduct business.

The products that businesses brought to SIAL Paris this year all belong to strong sectors that Vietnam has exported extensively to European and other markets. Instead of just bringing raw products with low processing content as in the past, this time businesses have focused on product quality, packaging design, and brand promotion.

With rich content, eye-catching designs, and innovative approaches aimed at increasing added value, Vietnamese products are proving to be increasingly suitable for market trends and the tastes of European and American customers.

Organizing Vietnamese businesses to actively participate in prestigious and high-quality international trade fairs such as the Sial Paris International Food Industry Fair not only helps Vietnamese export businesses expand their markets and seek new business opportunities through direct access to reputable buyers from around the world, but also creates a good opportunity for businesses to keep up with market trends, learn, and exchange practical experiences to improve and enhance product quality, and increase their competitive advantage in the international market.

The Sial Paris International Food Industry Fair is considered not only a golden opportunity for food exporters and manufacturers to expand their markets and seek new business opportunities through direct contact with reputable buyers from around the world, but also a place for businesses and manufacturers to learn, exchange experiences, and test their products in practice. This helps improve and enhance product quality and increase their competitive advantage in the international market.

Assessing the potential of the Fair, a representative from the Trade Promotion Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) stated: " The Vietnamese delegation's participation in the Sial Paris 2024 International Food Industry Fair is one of the important events in the series of activities under the program to build a brand strategy for the Vietnamese food industry. The main goal of the program is to build and promote a common, unified image for the Vietnamese food industry in the international market, enhance awareness and international recognition of Vietnamese food, build a reputation for food quality and value, and optimize added value for food production and processing in Vietnam ."

The Sial Paris International Food Industry Fair was first held in 1964 as part of Paris International Food Week, attracting food industry professionals, manufacturers, and food enthusiasts from 26 countries. Over more than 50 years of development, the Sial Paris International Food Industry Fair has become a highly anticipated event for businesses, individuals, and organizations operating in the food, catering, and hospitality sectors.
