The first batch of bird's nests has been officially exported to the French market.

The official export shipment from Hai Yen Nha Trang Company to France includes: Nha Trang bird's nest; nutritional bottled bird's nest; and Nha Trang bird's nest coffee. 100% of the products have been cleared through customs and meet the strict quality control standards of France in particular and the European market in general. Given the vast market opportunities, Vietnam has classified bird's nest as one of its special livestock products.

Currently, 42 out of 63 provinces nationwide have swiftlet farming with over 22,000 swiftlet houses, producing approximately 150 tons per year. Since the beginning of the year, businesses have been boosting export orders and strengthening partnerships and investments with local people to develop swiftlet populations.

In the near future, in addition to exporting businesses, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development will also provide technical training for farmers to ensure traceability, food safety and hygiene, disease control, and meet the high standards of the market. With many advantages, Vietnam has many foundations to develop a swiftlet farming industry.
