Attending the ceremony were members of the Provincial Police Department's Board of Directors; representatives from the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Department, the Provincial People's Court, the Provincial People's Procuratorate, the Provincial Military Command; leaders of the Provincial Police Department's offices, along with 500 officers and soldiers of the Provincial Police Department.
Following the directive of General Luong Tam Quang, Minister of Public Security , to launch a high-intensity campaign to combat and suppress crime and ensure security and order for the 14th National Party Congress and the elections of National Assembly and People's Council representatives at all levels, the Lai Chau Provincial Police Department has developed Plan No. 2772/KH-CAT-PV01 dated December 1, 2025, on implementing the high-intensity campaign to combat and suppress crime and ensure security and order. Accordingly, the implementation period is from December 1, 2025, to March 16, 2026; in which the Provincial Police Department has set the following goals from December 1, 2025, to December 15, 2025: Review and complete the assigned work targets for 2025; The provincial police departments and the police forces of communes and wards are directed to focus on conducting thorough basic investigations to gather information, review key routes, areas, and sectors, and identify targets and areas requiring concentrated efforts to combat crime. From December 15, 2025 to March 16, 2026: Strive to achieve and surpass the assigned targets.
Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Le Anh Hung, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police, emphasized: This is a particularly important peak period, demonstrating the high political determination of the entire system in maintaining security and order, creating a safe environment to serve socio-economic development and ensure a peaceful life for the people. He also requested that the entire force uphold the tradition of unity and discipline; constantly cultivate political acumen, demeanor, and work style; and maintain the moral qualities of a People's Police officer. Each officer and soldier must always remember the motto "staying awake so the people can sleep soundly, standing guard so the people can enjoy themselves, taking the people's joy as their own joy"; and uphold a high sense of responsibility and dedication in all assigned tasks. The entire provincial police force must be united in will and action, determined to excellently fulfill the goals and requirements of this peak period…
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Ha Trong Hai, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, acknowledged and praised the outstanding efforts and achievements of the Lai Chau Public Security in 2025, especially in advising on and maintaining political security; combating crime; and ensuring absolute safety for major events in the province. He also emphasized: Entering 2026, we will be in a strategically significant phase, the year of the 14th National Party Congress, the election of National Assembly and People's Council representatives at all levels for the 2026-2031 term; and the first year of implementing the Resolution of the 15th Provincial Party Congress. This is a particularly important time, requiring the entire political system to participate decisively and synchronously, with the work of ensuring security and order being identified as a central, continuous, and decisive task.
To ensure absolute security and safety for major national and provincial events, and to create conditions for the people to celebrate the Lunar New Year in a safe, joyful, and healthy atmosphere, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Trong Hai requested that all levels, sectors, and the Provincial Police force thoroughly understand and strictly implement the directives of the Party, the State, the Ministry of Public Security, and the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, and the Provincial People's Committee on security and order. Each plan and strategy must be scientifically and specifically developed, closely adhering to the characteristics of each locality and sector; adhering to the spirit that "crime prevention and control is the responsibility of the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire political system, with the police force playing a core role; if crime runs rampant, the head of the organization must bear responsibility"; and the responsibility of the heads of Party committees and governments at all levels must be further emphasized. During this peak period, the provincial police force not only focused on ensuring security and order but also proactively integrated the task of building a professional, elite, and modern force.
He expressed confidence that, with the guidance of the Party Committee and the government, the coordination of various sectors, and the support of the people, the Lai Chau Provincial Police will excellently fulfill its nhiệm vụ, ensuring security and order before, during, and after major national events. On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2026, he extended his best wishes for health and happiness to all officers and soldiers and wished them many achievements and victories during this peak period.
Immediately after the ceremony, nearly 500 officers and soldiers simultaneously deployed, demonstrating the high determination of the provincial police force in carrying out the intensified campaign to attack and suppress crime.
