Bringing "AI assistants" to villages and hamlets not only helps women access the law more easily, but also empowers them to speak up and protect themselves from legal risks.

Women members of Tay Do commune practice searching for legal information on smartphones during the training session "AI Assistant: Thanh Hoa Women Live Confidently - Understand the Law".

The Đông Môn village cultural center in Tây Đô commune, usually bustling with women's family and cooking conversations every afternoon, now has a different rhythm. On the table, smartphones are neatly arranged, alongside a large sheet of paper prominently displaying the words "AI Assistant: Thanh Hóa Women Live Confidently - Understand the Law." For the first time, the women in the village have met a "new friend"—an AI assistant to accompany them in understanding the law and protecting their rights.

Ms. Vu Thi Phan, a small business owner at the local market, cautiously held her phone and asked about borrowing money at high interest rates. Immediately afterwards, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hue, President of the Women's Union of Tay Do commune, personally guided her through each step of searching on the "AI Assistant" application. Seeing the information clearly displayed on the screen, Ms. Phan couldn't hide her surprise: "With such easy-to-understand instructions, I never hesitated to ask before." Through such direct guidance sessions, the gap between the law and real life is gradually narrowing.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Hue, President of the Women's Union of Tay Do commune, AI does not replace judicial officers, but rather serves as a tool to bring the law closer to the people, especially rural women. After each training session, the Women's Union of the commune establishes a Zalo group called "Women Understand the Law" in each village. When facing difficulties, women can directly ask the AI assistant or send questions for judicial officers and lawyers to provide more in-depth answers. Thanks to this, access to the law is no longer a sporadic process, but has become a regular and continuous process in the lives of the members.

Not only in Tay Do, but also in Nga Son commune, the "AI Assistant: Thanh Hoa Women Live Confidently - Understand the Law" model is being actively implemented. Ms. Mai Mai Hoa, President of the Women's Union of Nga Son commune, shared: "There were things that women were hesitant to ask about before, but now when needed, they can just open their phones and ask. If they don't understand, they can ask again, and they don't mind asking multiple times."

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh, a garment worker at a company in Nga Son commune, said that she had previously experienced delays in receiving her wages but did not dare to complain because she was not familiar with the legal regulations. "Thanks to direct research, I now know that I have the right to protect my legitimate rights," Ms. Hanh said.

This reality shows that the lack of legal information remains a barrier, causing many workers, especially female workers, to accept disadvantages in labor relations.

Currently, the "AI Assistant: Thanh Hoa Women Live Confidently - Understand the Law" program has been implemented in all 70/70 women's associations in Tay Do and Nga Son communes. Through direct training sessions and guidance at the grassroots level, members are gradually becoming familiar with, practicing, and using the application to research and understand the law. It is expected that by the end of 2027, 100% of the members of the Women's Union in the two localities, equivalent to more than 11,000 members, will have installed and are using the AI assistant, thereby gradually forming the habit of proactively accessing the law through digital technology right in their villages and hamlets.

According to Comrade Luong Thi Hanh, Provincial Party Committee member and President of the Provincial Women's Union, in the era of rapidly developing digital technology, equipping women with legal knowledge and digital skills not only helps them protect themselves but also contributes to enhancing women's status in the family and society. Based on this orientation, digital transformation within the Women's Union system has made significant progress in recent years.

During the 2021-2025 term, 100% of women's associations in the province have implemented management software; 100% of association officials are proficient in using professional software... These foundations are gradually spreading models like "AI Assistant: Thanh Hoa Women Live Confidently - Understand the Law" to villages and hamlets. Technology, in a very simple way, is becoming a "mini-lawyer" accompanying women on their journey to live confidently, understand the law, protect themselves, and take control of their lives.
