(CLO) On November 3, Giao thong Newspaper organized the opening ceremony of the 5th Golf Tournament for Traffic Safety in 2024, the program took place at Hoang Gia Stadium, Ninh Binh .

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Nga, Editor-in-Chief of Giao Thong Newspaper, Head of the Organizing Committee said: "As the mouthpiece of the Ministry of Transport , the National Traffic Safety Committee; a forum for traffic participants, in addition to performing well its political tasks, Giao Thong Newspaper always strives in community activities, especially charity programs for traffic accident victims".

The Golf Tournament that we are participating in today has been held for five consecutive years and is one of the meaningful activities in the Program Joining Hands for Traffic Safety initiated by Giao Thong Newspaper since 2013.

Over the years, with the trust and entrustment of readers and accompanying units, Giao thong Newspaper has given thousands of gifts and scholarships to relatives of traffic accident victims; built dozens of bridges and gratitude houses, fostering dreams of overcoming adversity.

Ms. Nga also emphasized that the presence of golfers at the tournament not only joins hands to help traffic accident victims overcome difficulties but also spreads the message of Joining Hands for Traffic Safety, encouraging everyone to obey traffic laws so that every journey is a joy, every end of the road is complete and reunited.

According to the Organizing Committee, the 2024 Golf Tournament for Traffic Safety brings together more than 200 golfers, divided into 3 groups, competing in 18-hole stroke play, according to R&A rules and the course's own rules recorded on the scorecard or the course's notice board. Points are calculated according to HDC day (System 36).

Immediately after the opening ceremony and tee-off ceremony, more than 200 golfers officially competed in 18 holes. The tournament is expected to end at 6pm on the same day, with the awards gala taking place at 6:30pm.
