The 2025 Tien Phong Golf Championship - For young talent will kick off on November 15 at Legend Valley Country Club ( Ninh Binh ), gathering 144 domestic and international golfers to compete.

The prize is not in cash but in kind. The winning golfer receives a car worth billions of dong and round-trip airfares domestically and internationally.

Many top Vietnamese golfers also attended the tournament: Nguyen Anh Minh, Nguyen Nhat Long, Nguyen Duc Son.

Nguyen Anh Minh is the number 1 amateur golfer in Vietnam (ranked 44th in the world ). After winning the first Tien Phong Golf Championship title in 2021, Anh Minh has continuously made his mark with a series of high-class achievements: individual bronze medal and team silver medal at the 32nd SEA Games in 2023.

Nguyen Nhat Long - the 2020 Tien Phong Golf Championship champion - won the 2023 national championship, before entering the professional path and becoming one of the typical faces of Vietnamese professional golf.

Nguyen Duc Son, the 2023 champion, also showed impressive form with the 2024 national championship and many recent international tournaments to affirm his position as a new star of Vietnamese golf.

Golfers will be divided into 5 groups including A, B, C, D (women) and Young Talent group, competing in stroke play format with NET points calculated according to Handicap System 36. The championship title (Best Gross) will be awarded to the golfer with the best total score (Gross) (lowest number of strokes) on the applicable competition day (all Par 72).

Young golfers who have won the Tien Phong Golf Championship, the National Golf Championship or are top of their age groups at the VGA Junior Tour will be exempted from entry fees. In addition, golfers under 18 who are not in the above groups will also be supported with 60% of the competition fee.

Tien Phong Golf Championship 2025 is a sports event organized by Tien Phong newspaper to celebrate the 72nd anniversary of Tien Phong newspaper's founding, and at the same time aims at the important goal of promoting and raising funds for the activities of the Vietnam Young Talent Support Fund (Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union).
