The Doi Duong Park and beach, a long-standing landmark, has undergone significant changes and transformations to become a tourist destination in Phan Thiet. Recently, the Phan Thiet City People's Committee approved the investment plan for the renovation and upgrading of Doi Duong Park. The project aims to beautify and upgrade the coastal urban area, creating a vibrant and diverse highlight for the city. It will establish a recreational, entertainment, relaxation, and photography spot for residents of Phan Thiet and tourists visiting for leisure, thereby boosting the city's marine economy . The project will include several components such as a plaza, internal roads and pathways, parking lots, service buildings, a football field, landscaping, water supply and drainage, lighting, and park decorations. The project covers approximately 4.8 hectares and has a total investment of around 62.1 billion VND.
Blending seamlessly with the landscape and sea currents of Doi Duong is Thuong Chanh beach. For the people of Phan Thiet, Thuong Chanh beach is a familiar sight, as many enjoy swimming there. However, for many years, Thuong Chanh beach has lacked investment, making it less known to tourists. In 2022, the City People's Committee launched a project to build and renovate the Thuong Chanh beach park. Currently, the park covers an area of approximately 34,000 m² in Hung Long ward. The project has a total investment of 30 billion VND, aiming to create an urban landscape, a relaxation and recreation area for local residents, contributing to urban upgrading and beautification, and creating a "green, clean, and beautiful" environment in the area. The project includes areas A and B, and roads. Area A includes an administration building and public restrooms with a construction area of approximately 666 m². The parking area covers approximately 2,794 m². The sports field covers approximately 1,711 m². The landscaped hill covers approximately 1,588 m². The campsite covers approximately 2,170 m². The miniature landscape area covers approximately 527 m². The walkways cover approximately 2,418 m², the windbreak green belt covers approximately 1,633 m², and the retaining wall is approximately 374 m long. Area B includes a parking lot covering approximately 981 m², a plaza covering approximately 1,957 m², a gazebo area covering approximately 2,215 m², a children's playground covering approximately 3,722 m², an art sculpture garden covering approximately 1,390 m², a retaining wall approximately 195 m long, and a technical building and public restrooms with a construction area of approximately 60.0 m². The road has a length of 290.86m. Lighting is provided by 17 single-arm LED lamp posts (10m high) and 33 double-arm LED lamp posts (10m high)...
Although the Thuong Chanh Park and Beach project is only about 90% complete, Phan Thiet now has more green spaces and new destinations for tourists to visit and relax…
