The National Tourism Year Organizing Committee assigned the Provincial Tourism Information and Promotion Center to coordinate with Nam Phuong Tourism and Trade Promotion Company Limited to organize a fair space to introduce and promote tourism, trade, and culinary products on Nguyen Tat Thanh Street (from the Ton Duc Thang intersection to Doi Duong Park). Despite unfavorable weather conditions and heavy rain during peak hours, the food fair space still attracted a large number of visitors.
Tourists enjoyed a variety of delicious dishes from different regions, with local specialties like banh canh (rice noodle soup), banh quai vat (fried dough sticks), and lau tha (hot pot) from Binh Thuan always receiving much appreciation.
At the Binh Thuan Chefs Association's booth, chefs take turns preparing and demonstrating cooking techniques for locals and tourists to enjoy at very reasonable prices each day. "I really like the food area because there are so many delicious dishes. Many delicious dishes from Binh Thuan are also on display, alongside other specialties from other provinces, creating a truly attractive culinary space," said Ms. Nguyen Kieu Lan (a tourist from Binh Duong ).
Mr. Nguyen Nhut, a tourist, shared: “I just enjoyed street-style hot pot, a well-known dish in Binh Thuan. The dish was very flavorful and suitable for people from all regions of Vietnam, including the North, Central, and South. I think you should try this dish when you travel here.”
Chef Nguyen Hoang Nghi – Vice President of the Binh Thuan Chefs Association, said: “This time, the Binh Thuan Chefs Association also wants to bring delicious dishes, such as herring spring rolls, snail salad, dragon fruit seafood salad, and hot pot. Especially today, the Chefs Association will showcase dragon fruit seafood salad, as a highlight of Binh Thuan cuisine. Because many tourists only know dragon fruit as a dessert, but there are many delicious dishes that can be made with it.”
