(CLO) On the morning of January 23rd, at the Lang Son Provincial Library, the Provincial Journalists Association, in coordination with Lang Son Newspaper, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Lang Son Provincial Association of Literature and Arts, organized the opening ceremony of the Lang Son Spring Press Festival 2025 and an exhibition showcasing the achievements of 100 years of Vietnamese Revolutionary Journalism (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025).
This significant cultural event is not only an opportunity for journalists to meet and interact, but also a chance for the public to access outstanding journalistic publications and learn more about the development of journalism in Lang Son in particular and the country in general. The press festival is also a cultural highlight, contributing to enriching the spiritual life of the people of Lang Son every spring.

A vibrant cultural space
The Lang Son Spring Press Festival 2025 was organized on a large scale with 8 exhibition booths (Provincial Journalists Association, Lang Son Newspaper, Provincial Literature and Arts Association, Provincial Radio and Television Station, Provincial Library and central press agencies with offices in the province including: Nhan Dan Newspaper, Vietnam News Agency, Tien Phong Newspaper) attracting the participation of numerous press agencies, journalists, reporters and the public who love newspapers.

The exhibition space was elegantly and beautifully decorated, showcasing a diverse range of journalistic publications in terms of content and format, from traditional print newspapers to modern online newspapers.
The carefully selected and outstanding publications include spring issues, New Year's Day issues, magazines, journals, books, and photographs showcasing the overall press landscape of Lang Son province at the beginning of the new year, publicizing the results and achievements in socio-economic development, national defense, and security of the country and Lang Son province in 2024.

Besides publications from Lang Son, the Press Festival also displays publications from many central and provincial press agencies, creating a comprehensive picture of journalistic activities nationwide.
The highlight of this year's Spring Press Festival is the combination of newspaper exhibitions with book exhibitions, art photography, fine art, and news photography. This has created a colorful, rich, and attractive cultural space, drawing the attention of a large number of visitors.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Hoang Dinh Hom, Chairman of the Lang Son Provincial Journalists Association, said: “The Lang Son Spring Press Festival is a traditional activity with significant importance in the journalistic life of the province. This is an opportunity for journalists to reflect on a year of activities, exchange experiences, and improve their professional skills. At the same time, it is also an opportunity for Lang Son's press to introduce its achievements to the public and strengthen the close relationship between the press and the people.”

Also at the Lang Son Spring Press Festival 2025, Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, Standing Vice Chairman of the Lang Son Provincial People's Committee, acknowledged and praised the achievements of Lang Son's press and central news agencies in the past period. He also expressed his hope that journalists would continue to uphold their sense of responsibility, constantly improve the quality of their work, and meet the increasingly high demands of the public.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Lang Son province also emphasized the important role of the press in the cause of national construction and development. He affirmed: "In the past year, the press has made positive contributions to disseminating the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and regulations, and promptly and truthfully reflecting social issues occurring in Lang Son province."

The Lang Son Spring Press Festival 2025 is not just a simple cultural event, but also a meaningful political and social activity, contributing to the development of journalism in Lang Son in particular and the country in general. The Spring Press Festival has become a beautiful traditional cultural feature, an indispensable spiritual nourishment for the people of Lang Son every spring.

The Lang Son Spring Newspaper Festival 2025 will take place from January 23rd to February 8th, 2024 (i.e., from the 23rd day of the 12th lunar month of the Year of the Dragon to the 11th day of the 1st lunar month of the Year of the Snake).
