As the owner of a coffee farm, Ms. Duong Thi Thuy, founder of Tam An Nguyen Farmhouse (in Da Lat city, Lam Dong province), said that as a member of the 70s generation, she used to think that applying digital technology to production and business would be very difficult. Previously, she often had to hire people for tasks such as packaging design and product promotion. But after learning about information technology, she changed her mindset and learned how to apply artificial intelligence to her work.
Telling the brand story through artificial intelligence.
"The important thing is to have a consistent mindset; the rest will be handled by artificial intelligence as a virtual assistant through various applications. Now, in just a few tens of minutes, I can create a product to tell the brand story, introduce and promote the company's products," Ms. Thuy shared.
For a female entrepreneur from the 90s generation like Ms. Nguyen Thi Uyen Nhi ( Hanoi ), artificial intelligence with tools like GPT chat is truly useful in the startup process. Ms. Uyen Nhi said: "Artificial intelligence is quite effective in supporting business. Firstly, it helps with image direction, and secondly, it helps with communication and business planning."
Instead of spending time gathering information from various sources, I can now simply go to ChatGPT, type in some content, and in about 5 minutes, the application can suggest dozens of useful ideas. This not only saves me time but also resources and costs."
Enhancing digital skills for female entrepreneurs
With a commitment to promoting digital transformation, the "National Digital Transformation Program to 2025, with a vision to 2030," approved by the Prime Minister in 2020, focuses on three pillars: digital government, digital economy , and digital society.

Despite strong commitment and support from government agencies and ecosystem stakeholders, the digital transformation and digital skills enhancement process for human resources in Vietnam still faces many challenges, such as the complexity of emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the significant gender gap in the digital technology sector.
According to research by the Vietnam Women's Union, Vietnamese women have fewer opportunities to access and utilize digital resources compared to men. This hinders women from leveraging digital resources for learning and work purposes.
Recognizing this situation, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), in collaboration with Alobase, organized the "Empower Her Tech" training program to enhance digital skills for young female entrepreneurs and women aged 18-35 with non-technology startup ideas.
The program provides fundamental knowledge about AI and Industry 4.0 technologies necessary for young women to improve their work performance and benefit their businesses.
With advanced digital skills modules including Wix (a no-program website builder), generative AI technology, and a design tool for non-professionals (Canva), the program provides a wealth of practical knowledge for female entrepreneurs.
Ms. Ramla Khalidi, Resident Representative of UNDP in Vietnam, shared: "The Empower Her Tech training program is a small contribution from us to bridge the gender gap in the digital technology sector."
These are practical steps in the effort to build digital skills and enhance leadership capabilities, and a breakthrough to take businesses to the next level, promoting sustainable development for all."
In the future, the Empower Her Tech training program will continue to build a community of young female entrepreneurs, supporting the dissemination and promotion of the movement to apply technology to improve business efficiency.
A handbook covering the Canva module, artificial intelligence generation, and the Wix website builder will be released to replicate the results of this training program in educational institutions across Vietnam, enabling all young people, regardless of gender, to take advantage of the opportunities of the digital age.
