Female student was beaten up at school

A female student was beaten up by a gang right on campus, in front of many students. Not only did they not intervene, some students even stood there filming and cheering.

According to Thanh Nien reporter's investigation, the female student who was beaten by the group is D.TNT, a 7th grade student at Ton Duc Thang Secondary School (Thong Nhat Ward, Gia Lai ).

A representative of Ton Duc Thang Secondary School said the incident occurred on November 28. Before physical education class, student D.TNT was suddenly beaten by a group of classmates on campus. A clip of the incident was posted on Facebook by a parent.

According to the clip circulating on social media, T. was surrounded by a group of friends. Some male students loudly cheered, inciting the group of female students to attack. Two female students suddenly rushed forward, grabbed T.'s hair, then repeatedly used their hands and feet to hit and kick her in the head, causing her to fall to the floor. Although T. barely resisted, the group of friends continued to kick the victim's head many times.

The entire incident took place in front of many other students. Instead of stopping the violence, many students shouted and cheered for this act of school violence.

Ms. Le Thi Hong Van, Principal of Ton Duc Thang Secondary School, said: "When receiving information that a group of students were fighting, a teacher went to the gymnasium area and asked the students to go to the Board of Directors' office to write a report. This teacher also took T. to the medical room for examination, applied oil, and notified the parents of the students involved. The initial cause, according to the students' reports, was due to a conflict over studying."

According to Ms. Van, the school has invited the students involved in the female student being beaten to write a self-criticism and is reviewing their behavior to evaluate their final semester grades. The school board also visited the female student T.’s family to visit and encourage her to return to class.

Talking to Thanh Nien reporter, Ms. TD, T.'s parent, could not hide her anger: "My child has been seriously affected psychologically. For many days now, he has been covering himself with a blanket and crying, not daring to go to school. I am cooperating with the authorities to clarify the matter of my child being brutally beaten by a group of people."
