Hue female student shares secret to becoming valedictorian of economics school

On April 14, Hue University of Economics announced that it had just held a graduation ceremony and awarded master's and bachelor's degrees in 2025 to 449 new bachelors and 36 masters.

Of the 449 new graduates this time, 195 graduated with honors or distinction. Among them, the valedictorian of the 2025 class of the University of Economics - Hue University is Tran Ai Thi (22 years old, from Hue City, marketing student), who graduated with 3.96/4 points.

Sharing with Thanh Nien reporter about the secret to studying well, Ai Thi said that she always works hard in all fields, especially finding an idol to get inspiration.

"I think everything can be learned, as long as each person tries hard and is diligent. In the future, I want to develop myself so I will go to Ho Chi Minh City to have more opportunities," Thi said.

Ai Thi wants to find a job in the marketing field, because this is a very "hot" profession, giving her dynamism and creativity in life.

"Of all the subjects, I like customer behavior the most because in marketing, the most important thing is to understand customers and provide solutions for them," Ai Thi added.

Not only did she have the highest graduation score in her class, the valedictorian of the University of Economics - Hue University also achieved an IELTS score of 7.0. Revealing the secret to achieving this score, according to Ai Thi, in addition to being diligent, she also took inspiration from talented people to motivate herself to study.

"My IELTS teacher is the one who inspires me to always want to be as good as her," Ai Thi said.

In addition to school hours, Ai Thi also works part-time as a coffee waitress and teaches English online to earn extra income.

Ai Thi wants to thank her parents for always standing behind her. The new valedictorian shared that growing up in a family with parents who were traders, not too well off but still being raised to have a full education, so she always wanted to study well to support her parents in the future.

Ai Thi also sent a message to young people who are about to graduate. That the road ahead will probably be full of difficulties, there will be times when young people doubt themselves, but a saying that Ai Thi always remembers is "You can't control the wind, but you can adjust your sails".

"So if life gives you sour tangerines, use them to make sweet tangerine jam," said Ai Thi.
