Nguyen Ha Minh Anh, a student in class 6A10, was honored to win third prize in the individual drawing competition on the theme "Good Children of Uncle Ho" in the "Uncle Ho with Children - Children with Uncle Ho" contest for the 2025-2026 school year. Minh Anh's painting depicts students visiting the Mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh – a place she has always dreamed of visiting.

Minh Anh shared that she has been passionate about drawing since the first grade and frequently participates in drawing competitions organized by her school or other organizations. From fairy tales and favorite characters to scenic landscapes, each painting is a way for her to express her emotions and love for drawing.

“I didn’t think I would win because so many students from all over the country participated in the competition. When I found out the results, I was very surprised and happy. For me, the image of Uncle Ho is very important. I think Uncle Ho was incredibly great and every student should learn from his moral example,” Minh Anh said.

Besides her love for art, Minh Anh has also been an outstanding student for many years. She said that the most cherished of the five teachings of President Ho Chi Minh is "Love the Fatherland, love your compatriots." According to her, this means knowing how to love her homeland, being united, and loving everyone around her.

In her studies and daily life, Minh Anh always strives to follow Uncle Ho's teachings, such as studying diligently, being united with her friends, and actively participating in group activities. After class meetings or flag-raising ceremonies, she and her classmates voluntarily pick up trash and tidy up the benches to maintain cleanliness in the school.

Minh Anh's joy is also a great source of pride for her family. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dien, Minh Anh's father, shared that he knew his daughter had a talent for drawing from a young age, but he never thought she would achieve such high results in a national-level competition.

“I was very surprised to learn that my son won third prize nationwide. When he received an invitation to come to Hanoi to receive the award, I arranged my work schedule to take him along with his younger brother and grandmother so that the whole family could share in his pride,” Mr. Dien recounted.

According to Mr. Dien, the trip to Hanoi left many special emotions as the students had the opportunity to attend the solemn awards ceremony at the Ho Chi Minh Museum and visit President Ho Chi Minh's mausoleum.

"Such trips not only acknowledge and celebrate achievements but also help children feel more proud and motivated to study and improve themselves. The family will continue to create opportunities for their children to pursue their passion for painting," Mr. Dien said.

According to Ms. Dang Thi Thuy Hoa, Principal of Nguyen Trung Truc Junior High School, Minh Anh's achievement is a shared joy for the school and contributes to spreading the spirit of learning and following the five teachings of Uncle Ho among all the students. Through her creativity, deep respect for Uncle Ho, and active participation in the movement, Minh Anh has achieved a commendable accomplishment.

According to Ms. Hoa, the school regularly organizes traditional education activities such as visiting the Nguyen Trung Truc Temple, the Nguyen Huu Tho Temple, and the Ba Vu Melaleuca Forest; visiting the Cu Chi Tunnels, the Independence Palace, and the Nha Rong Wharf in Ho Chi Minh City. Through these activities, the school hopes that students will gain a deeper understanding of national history, appreciate the present, and cherish their families, teachers, and those around them.

During the past school year, the school implemented the teaching of 36 martial arts techniques to all students to help them develop both intellectually and physically, while also gaining a deeper understanding of the patriotism and unwavering courage of national hero Nguyen Trung Truc - after whom the school is proudly named.

Three students from Nguyen Van Sieu Primary School (Tay Ninh) won the Encouragement Prize in the provincial-level English public speaking competition for the 2025-2026 school year, along with their classmates.

Last school year, Nguyen Van Sieu Primary School had 20 classes with 674 students. The school principal, Mr. Tran Thanh Phong, said that the school always focuses on organizing competitive activities in academics, culture, sports, and life skills, helping students develop comprehensively.

During the 2025-2026 school year, students from the school actively participated in many local and provincial-level competitions. Notably, in the English public speaking competition for 3rd graders, the school won first prize at the commune level. Three high-achieving students were then selected to compete at the provincial level and received honorable mentions.

In addition, the school's students also won 4 medals at the provincial level Phu Dong Sports Festival and regularly participated in online competitions such as mathematics, English, and Vietnamese language competitions. These are intellectual playgrounds that help students reinforce their knowledge outside of class time.

Nguyen Kim Nguyen Cat, a third-grade student and one of three students who won the Encouragement Prize in the provincial-level English public speaking competition, said she loves English and is always encouraged to study it by her family. "At home, my parents teach me, and at school, my teachers teach me to be well-behaved and to follow the five teachings of Uncle Ho," Nguyen Cat shared.

To improve the quality of education, Nguyen Van Sieu Primary School also focuses on building a modern learning environment and applying technology in teaching. According to teacher Tran Thanh Phong, the school is promoting the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in its professional work.

Teachers received training and shared experiences in preparing test questions, developing lesson plans, and converting textbook content into short videos or engaging images to create interest for students.

"When dry stories in textbooks are transformed into images, animated characters, or short videos, students can absorb the lessons more easily and with greater interest," Mr. Phong said.

In addition, emulation movements are regularly launched on a monthly basis, linked to major holidays and practical experience activities. The school organizes timely checks, monitoring, and rewards to encourage students to strive for academic excellence.

At the end of the last school year, the school's percentage of excellent students reached 55%, an increase of 4% compared to the previous year. This is the result of the efforts of teachers, students, and parents alike.

In preparation for the upcoming school year, the education sector has implemented a plan to train teachers and administrators to familiarize themselves with the standardized textbooks used nationwide. Simultaneously, the school is also preparing to upgrade its facilities with a budget of over 6 billion VND, in order to support the national standard school accreditation process.

Vigorous emulation movements in learning and training are taking place in schools, and the spirit of learning and following Uncle Ho's teachings is spreading widely among the children of Tay Ninh. This helps students develop comprehensively, nurturing generations of responsible, compassionate citizens with aspirations to build their homeland and country.
