Ahead of the match against India (6 PM on March 4th) in the 2026 Asian Women's Football Championship finals, head coach Mai Duc Chung affirmed that the Vietnamese women's national team has made thorough preparations and is ready to face the challenge in Group C.
Coach Mai Duc Chung said that everything regarding the training grounds, accommodation, and meals was very favorable: "We are very satisfied with the preparation and support from the Organizing Committee. At this point, the team is ready in every aspect," he shared.

Assessing Group C, Coach Mai Duc Chung stated that it includes high-quality opponents such as Japan, India, and Chinese Taipei. “Not only Group C, but all the groups in this final round are very strong. All the participating teams are deserving. Therefore, the Vietnamese women's team will have to make maximum effort and focus on each match,” the head coach emphasized.
The veteran coach also expressed his delight at being able to compete in Australia – a co-host nation of the 2023 Women's World Cup. He said that favorable weather conditions and the support of the large Vietnamese community living there would be a great source of motivation for the entire team.
"We will try our best to show what we have practiced. In football, nothing can be predicted, but facing a strong opponent only motivates us to be more determined," coach Mai Duc Chung affirmed.

Meanwhile, team captain Huynh Nhu also praised the organizers' hospitality: “We are satisfied with the accommodation, training facilities, and the weather here. The whole team is in good spirits and physical condition.”
Sharing about her role, Huynh Nhu said she always adheres to the training plans of the coaching staff at both the club and the national team: “The coaches understand the physical condition of each player to build a suitable training program, helping the whole team reach their best form. With my experience, I always try to share and support the younger players. Whether at the club level or the Vietnamese national team, the biggest goal is always the collective achievement of the team.”
