Perez wants to buy Garnacho for Real.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez could bring Garnacho from Man Utd to Real, just as he did with Cristiano Ronaldo in 2009.

According to Real Madrid Exclusivo on March 18th, President Perez and the scouting team are closely monitoring Garnacho. They consider the Argentine winger a target in Real Madrid's youth development plan. This strategy is the reason Real Madrid signed Vinicius, Rodrygo, Federico Valverde, Edouardo Camavinga, Aurelien Tchouameni, Arda Guler, and Jude Bellingham in recent years.

Perez could lure Garnacho using a tactic similar to what he did with Cristiano Ronaldo in 2009. Back then, Real Madrid's team approached Ronaldo and persuaded the Portuguese star to voluntarily ask Manchester United for a transfer. According to Real Madrid Exclusivo , Perez even wants to meet Garnacho when Real Madrid travel to Manchester for their Champions League quarter-final against Manchester City in April.

Ronaldo, who holds the record for scoring 450 goals for Real Madrid, was Garnacho's idol.

Garnacho was born in Madrid to a Spanish father and an Argentinian mother. In 2020, after training with the youth teams of Getafe and Atletico Madrid, the player born in 2004 joined the Manchester United youth team for $500,000.

Garnacho started playing for Manchester United's first team in 2022, scoring 12 goals and providing nine assists in 74 games. This season, the 19-year-old has scored seven goals and provided four assists in 38 games, including the pass that led to Amad Diallo's winning goal in the 4-3 FA Cup victory over Liverpool on March 17th. Garnacho received the highest rating, a 9, after the win against Liverpool.

Garnacho previously played for the Spanish U18 team, but ultimately chose to represent Argentina. In 2023, manager Lionel Scaloni gave the Manchester United star three international appearances.

Garnacho can play on both wings. If he joins Real, he could play as a right winger, forming a three-man attack with Vinicius and Rodrygo, or with Rodrygo and Kylian Mbappe – the player most likely to join Real this summer after leaving PSG.

If Real Madrid were to sign Mbappe, they might have to sell Vinicius to avoid having two stars playing in the same position. In that case, the Spanish club could persuade Manchester United to buy Vinicius by offering Garnacho plus cash in exchange. Manchester United has always lacked a top-class left-wing player, a position Marcus Rashford has failed to impress in despite nearly 10 years with the club, while Anthony Martial has almost failed to develop.
