The 2026 National Women's Football Championship - Thai Son Bac Cup features 7 participating teams: Hanoi I, Hanoi II, Thai Nguyen T&T, Than KSVN, Phong Phu Ha Nam, Ho Chi Minh City I, and Ho Chi Minh City II. The winning team will receive 500 million VND in prize money.
This is the 15th consecutive year that the National Women's Football Championship has received the support of Thai Son Bac Electrical Equipment Trading Co., Ltd. as the main sponsor of the tournament.
Seven teams will participate in the 2026 Thai Son Bac National Women's Football Championship - Thai Son Bac Cup.
The 2026 National Women's Football Championship will feature 7 participating teams: Hanoi I, Hanoi II, Thai Nguyen T&T, Than KSVN, Phong Phu Ha Nam, Ho Chi Minh City I, and Ho Chi Minh City II.
The teams will compete in a round-robin format with two (2) matches (home and away) in their respective localities to determine points and final rankings; the first leg will take place from June 20th to July 19th, 2026; the second leg will take place from July 23rd to August 21st, 2026. The champion of the 2026 Thai Son Bac National Women's Football Championship will represent Vietnam in the AFC Women's Champions League 2027/28 season.
Speaking at the ceremony, VFF General Secretary Nguyen Van Phu said: “ 2026 marks the 15th consecutive year that Thai Son Bac has accompanied Vietnamese women's football - a persistent, responsible, and dedicated journey towards the development of women's football in our country.
Throughout this journey, Thai Son Bac has not only been a sponsor but also a partner that consistently shares the VFF's vision for developing women's football in a stable, professional, and sustainable direction. Thai Son Bac's long-term partnership has significantly contributed to maintaining and improving the quality of the league, creating further motivation for clubs to invest, and opening up many opportunities for competition and development for female players .”
According to Mr. Tran Anh Minh, General Director of Thai Son Bac Electrical Equipment Trading Company Limited, the National Women's Football Championship is not only a competition for the best female players but also plays a crucial role in discovering, training, and supplementing the national teams. In fact, many players who have emerged from this tournament have made and continue to make significant contributions to the outstanding achievements of Vietnamese women's football in regional and continental competitions.
