The Ligue 1 side thrashed Inter Milan 5-0 at the Allianz Arena to win their first ever Champions League title and complete an unprecedented treble of the season. Desire Doue scored twice, while Achraf Hakimi, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Senny Mayulu also contributed to the resounding victory in Munich.
Less than an hour after the final whistle, Neymar broke his silence on social media. Neymar used a short message with the image of his former team lifting the championship: "Congratulations PSG", with a clapping emoji.
Previously, Mbappe also wrote: "The big day has finally come. Victory not only for myself but also for the whole club. Congratulations PSG."
Neymar and Mbappe were once part of PSG's "Galaxy" dream, alongside Lionel Messi. However, the closest they came to Champions League glory was a painful 0-1 defeat to Bayern Munich in the 2020 final, before Messi arrived in Paris.
Neymar joined PSG for a world record fee of £200m from Barcelona in 2017, but left in 2023 to join Al Hilal for around £75m. During his time at the Parc des Princes, he won 13 trophies, including five Ligue 1 titles, but was hampered by injuries and failed to help the team win the Champions League.
Currently, Neymar returns to play for his childhood team Santos in Brazil and his contract will end next June.
Meanwhile, Mbappe has had an impressive individual season at Real Madrid after joining as a free agent last summer. Despite the team's struggles, Mbappe has still scored 40 goals and provided four assists in 51 La Liga games.
