Tensions in the Middle East show no signs of easing after Iran launched hundreds of missiles toward Israeli territory. The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated that it used domestically produced missiles in the series of launches on the evening of October 1st targeting strategic locations in Israel, asserting that this was done within the framework of Iran's legitimate self-defense and based on international law.

Meanwhile, Israel announced that more than 180 missiles had been launched toward its territory, an incident that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described as a "mistake" and vowed to respond appropriately.

Amid escalating tensions, on October 2nd, several airlines operating in the Gulf region adjusted their flight routes to ensure passenger safety.

Etihad Airways of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) said it would reroute some scheduled flights on October 2 due to airspace restrictions in some areas of the Middle East. Emirates Airlines canceled all flights to and from Iraq (Basra and Baghdad), Iran, and Jordan on October 2 and 3. Qatar Airways temporarily suspended flights to and from Iraq and Iran due to airspace closures.
