Kylian Mbappe scored a hat-trick in France 's 14-0 victory over Gibraltar in the Euro 2024 qualifiers on the evening of November 18th.

* Goal: Santos own goal 3', M. Thuram 5', Zaire-Emery 16', Mbappé pen 30', 74' & 82', Clauss 35', Coman 36' & 66', Fofana 37', Rabiot 63', Dembélé 73', Giroud 89 & 90'+1.

This 14-0 result is the biggest win in the history of Euro qualifiers. It broke the record set by Germany's 13-0 victory over San Marino in 2006. It is also the biggest win in the history of the French national team.

Within the first four minutes, an own goal by Ethan Santos and a strike from Marcus Thuram gave France a 2-0 lead. In the 16th minute, debutant Warren Zaire-Emery extended the lead to 3-0. While shooting towards goal, the 17-year-old midfielder was fouled. After a VAR review, the referee issued a direct red card to Santos.

Losing a player caused Gibraltar to collapse. The team, currently ranked 198th in FIFA, quickly became a "punching bag" against the onslaught of the 2022 World Cup runners-up. Before halftime, Kylian Mbappe, Jonathan Clauss, Kingsley Coman, and substitute Youssouf Fofana added four more goals for France. At the start of the second half, Adrien Rabiot scored, followed by Coman's brace.

After coming on as a substitute for Coman in the 67th minute, Ousmane Dembele took just six minutes to make it 10-0 with a solo run. A minute later, Mbappe scored his second goal. In the 82nd minute, the captain chipped the ball over the goalkeeper from 40 meters, completing his hat-trick.

Mbappe rose to third place on the list of top scorers for France, with 46 goals, two more than fourth-placed Antoine Griezmann. Giroud, who currently leads the list, also scored two goals in the 89th and 90+1 minutes, including a scissor kick that sealed the 14-0 victory. The AC Milan striker now has 56 goals for the national team, five more than Thierry Henry and ten more than Mbappe.
