Speaking at the program, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra expressed her emotion at the inspiring stories of impoverished cancer patients recreated through artistic performances and documentaries. The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that behind each cancer patient are difficult circumstances, with many families having to sell assets or borrow money to fund their loved ones' treatment.

According to Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra, the Party and State leaders especially sympathize with children who unfortunately suffer from cancer, having to stay in hospital beds and undergo prolonged chemotherapy treatments instead of attending school like their peers. However, the children's will to live and their faith have strongly inspired the community, urging society to continue working together to support patients.

Acknowledging and commending the contributions of the Ministry of Health, medical staff, businesses, organizations, media agencies, and philanthropists who have accompanied cancer patients in the past, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra called on organizations, businesses, and the entire society to continue spreading the spirit of compassion and joining hands to support poor cancer patients, so that no one is alone in the fight against the disease and all patients have the opportunity to look forward to a brighter tomorrow.

At the event, the Bright Tomorrow Fund, in collaboration with the National Humanitarian Information Portal (portal 1400), launched a campaign to support impoverished cancer patients with the message "Millions of acts of kindness sent to cancer patients," a program that will run from now until August 2, 2026.
By the end of the program, the organizing committee had received a total of over 2.238 billion VND in cash and the equivalent value of medicine donated to the Bright Tomorrow Fund.
According to the organizers, over the past 14 years, the "Bright Tomorrow" Cancer Patient Support Fund has developed, operated effectively, received high praise, and been supported by many agencies, organizations, and philanthropists.
The fund has mobilized resources, organized gift-giving, and provided financial support for cancer treatment drugs to over 53,400 cancer patients nationwide, worth more than 5 trillion VND... In 2025 alone, the fund supported over 5,500 patients with nearly 2 trillion VND… attracting a large number of patients, their families, and the general public to participate, making the fund a reputable charity organization, a close and trusted friend to doctors and poor cancer patients nationwide.
