From July 1st, 2025, the city will operate a two-tiered local government model within its new development space. Following the administrative reorganization, the city's landscape offers photographers a wealth of new material: urban scenes, waterways, attractive destinations, cultural and historical sites, and landmarks reflecting development. There, tradition and modernity, urban life and the essence of the grassroots coexist, becoming a source of inspiration for photographers.
Each photograph, when captured with keen observation, professional responsibility, and love for the city, will contribute an authentic glimpse into Ho Chi Minh City during this period of significant transformation, becoming more open, dynamic, closer to the people, and more ambitious.
With that in mind, Saigon Liberation Newspaper respectfully invites professional and amateur photographers, photojournalists, and Vietnamese citizens both at home and abroad to participate in the "Shining Golden Name" photo contest. The contest organizers hope to receive the most beautiful, authentic, and emotionally rich images of Ho Chi Minh City; thereby, preserving valuable documentation about the city named after President Ho Chi Minh in its new development journey, contributing to further enhancing the golden name of the city today and in the future.
