The competition is being held against the backdrop of the growing trend of green energy transition and emission reduction becoming an urgent requirement in many countries around the world . This is not only an activity to promote and disseminate knowledge, but also aims to build awareness, change consumption habits, and encourage the community to work together in the process of using clean, environmentally friendly energy.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has launched a competition titled "Understanding the Benefits of E10 Biofuel".

The competition consists of two formats: online and in-person. The online round takes place from 10:00 AM on May 25th to 10:00 AM on May 31st on the website of the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development, making it easy for a large number of people nationwide to participate and learn about E10 bioethanol.

For the online round, contestants will answer 20 multiple-choice questions and 1 open-ended question on the online testing software at www.dms.gov.vn. Participants can use electronic devices with internet access to take the test anytime, anywhere during the competition period.

The competition results will be ranked from highest to lowest among contestants who correctly answer the organizers' questions and whose open-ended answers are accurate or closest to the results recorded on the online testing system.

The results of the online round are expected to be announced at 10:00 AM on June 1st on the website of the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development.

The organizers will award prizes for the online competition including: 1 First Prize worth 3,000,000 VND; 2 Second Prizes, each worth 2,000,000 VND; 3 Third Prizes, each worth 1,000,000 VND; and 10 Consolation Prizes, each worth 500,000 VND.

In addition to the online round, the live round is scheduled to be held on June 12th in Hanoi , with the participation of teams that have registered according to the rules issued by the Organizing Committee. The Organizing Committee will award prizes for the live round including: 1 First Prize worth 15,000,000 VND; 1 Second Prize worth 10,000,000 VND; 1 Third Prize worth 7,000,000 VND; and 2 Consolation Prizes, each worth 3,000,000 VND.

In addition to the main competitions, the organizers have also prepared many attractive prizes for audience members who attend the program and correctly answer the interactive questions during the live competition round.

The judging panel for the live competition includes representatives from state management agencies, the Vietnam Biofuel Association, leaders of press and media agencies, and artists, to ensure professionalism, objectivity, and to increase the reach of communication messages about using green, environmentally friendly fuels.

Through concise and accessible content, the competition will provide people with basic knowledge about E10 bioethanol, such as fuel characteristics, environmental benefits, efficiency, compatibility with vehicles, as well as policies promoting the use of bioethanol in Vietnam.

Besides disseminating knowledge, the competition also aims to spread positive messages about environmental protection, efficient energy use, and building sustainable consumption habits in the community. The Organizing Committee expects the competition to attract the participation of a large number of people, youth union members, students, businesses, and social organizations nationwide.
