Launching the Online Contest "Learning about Marxism - Leninism, Ho Chi Minh Thought and the History of Revolutionary Traditions" in 2024

DTO - On the afternoon of September 4, at the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee coordinated with the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and the Provincial Historical Science Association to organize the launching ceremony of the Online Contest "Learning about Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh's thought and revolutionary tradition history" in 2024.

Attending the event were comrade Le Thi Kim Loan - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; comrade Huynh Minh Thuc - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Head of the Organizing Committee of the contest. Together with members and young people representing the Youth Union units under the Provincial Youth Union. The launching ceremony was broadcast online to district and city bridges in the province.

At the ceremony, delegates watched a video clip about the content and rules of the contest. Accordingly, the contest is jointly organized by the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, and the Provincial Historical Science Association. Contestants are cadres, civil servants, public employees, party members, union members, association members, youth and people in the province. The contest includes a weekly round and a final round. The weekly round with 4 weeks of competition takes place in September 2024.

In the weekly round, contestants will compete online by answering multiple-choice questions from the Organizing Committee at the website: Timhieukienthucdongthap2024.com. The Organizing Committee will select 20 contestants with high scores in the weeks to participate in the final round. In the final round, contestants will compete in a centralized format and go through 2 parts: multiple-choice knowledge test; presentation and situation handling. The contest content revolves around the basic principles of Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh's thought and documents of political theory lessons for union members; resolutions, directives, conclusions, action programs of the 11th Provincial Party Executive Committee and key tasks of the province. Along with that are the history of the Southern region, local history, typical businessmen of Dong Thap province; some typical historical and cultural events of the province; the history of the Provincial Party Committee and historical figures associated with the history of the Provincial Party Committee.

Speaking at the launch of the contest, Comrade Huynh Minh Thuc - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Head of the Organizing Committee of the contest requested that Party committees at all levels, authorities, departments, branches, and socio-political organizations pay attention to directing and creating favorable conditions for cadres, civil servants, public employees, and people to participate in the contest. Youth Union bases actively promote and mobilize union members and young people to participate in the contest and need to spend time studying documents and improving knowledge to achieve high results.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, comrade Le Thi Kim Loan - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department emphasized that Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought are the ideological foundation and guideline for all actions of the Party. Studying, researching and creatively applying Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought are important tasks that need to be focused on and implemented regularly. Therefore, the contest has many practical meanings, is a political and ideological activity, an opportunity to help cadres, party members, union members, youth and people have a correct understanding of politics, ideology, and understand the revolutionary history and traditions of the nation and homeland of Dong Thap. From there, it will orient the young generation to have a beautiful ideal of life, becoming a team of successors to build an increasingly rich and beautiful country.

For the contest to be successful, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Le Thi Kim Loan called on Party committees and organizations at all levels to direct the political system at the grassroots level, especially grassroots socio-political organizations, union members and youth to actively respond to and participate in the contest with a high sense of responsibility. Thereby, promoting the historical values of Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh's thought, and the revolutionary historical traditions of the country and Dong Thap province.
