Launching the online contest "Proud of Vietnam"

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (1945 - 2025), and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department has launched the nationwide online competition "Proud of Vietnam". The competition, running from March 2025 to August 2025, aims to create a platform for learning about history while simultaneously fostering pride and a sense of responsibility among citizens towards their country.

The "Proud of Vietnam" contest is not just a typical history-learning activity, but also carries profound educational significance, helping the people, especially the younger generation, to fully understand the immense historical meaning and value of the August Revolution, the resistance war against the US to save the country, and the achievements the country has attained after 50 years of reunification.

Through an online quiz format, participants can easily access the competition content on a digital platform, contributing to the innovation of methods for disseminating information about national history in the technological age. The competition focuses on the following topics: Important milestones in the history of the struggle for national independence, especially the August Revolution of 1945 and the great victory of Spring 1975; the leadership role of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh in the cause of national liberation, building and defending the Fatherland; the great achievements of the country in the 50 years after reunification, especially in the process of reform, integration and development; and heroic figures and exemplary historical stories that inspire pride and motivation for the younger generation.

To ensure the competition truly becomes a widespread political activity attracting broad participation from all segments of the population, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department has issued directives to units and localities to intensify propaganda efforts. Specifically, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and political and social organizations of the province, as well as departments, agencies, and localities, will coordinate the dissemination of information about the competition through mass media, electronic portals, and social networks, while also mobilizing cadres, Party members, civil servants, employees, armed forces personnel, union members, and association members to actively participate.

The Binh Thuan Newspaper and Binh Thuan Radio and Television Station proactively published information about the rules and content of the competition, ensuring that a large number of people could access and participate. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism directed and guided local news websites and electronic portals to publish content about the competition, creating a strong ripple effect. The "Proud of Vietnam" competition not only helps participants expand their historical knowledge but also provides an opportunity for each individual to express their patriotism, national pride, and responsibility towards the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland in the new era.

The Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee calls for active participation from all levels, sectors, and the entire population, contributing to spreading the spirit of patriotism and continuing the glorious traditions of the nation.
