Scene of the launching ceremony.On the afternoon of October 31, the Dak Lak Provincial Military Command coordinated with the Provincial Literature and Arts Association to launch a campaign to create literary and artistic works on the theme "Dak Lak Provincial Armed Forces - 80 years of building, fighting, growing and constantly growing"; towards the 120th anniversary of the founding of Dak Lak Province (November 22, 1904 - November 22, 2024); the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Dak Lak Provincial Armed Forces (September 23, 1945 - September 23, 2025).

Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Tran Minh Trong, Political Commissar of Dak Lak Provincial Military Command, said that the campaign aims to create works of artistic quality and humanistic significance about the glorious feats and traditions of Dak Lak province's armed forces - 80 years of building, fighting, maturing and constantly growing; contributing to improving the political mettle, moral qualities, and lifestyle of officers and soldiers of Dak Lak province's armed forces; raising awareness in propaganda work to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the provincial armed forces' traditional day.

At the same time, we hope to have many literary and artistic works that truly and deeply reflect the process of building, fighting and growing up of the provincial armed forces, focusing on people, events and typical feats that illuminate the noble qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" of Dak Lak soldiers. These can be stories of courage, solidarity, determination, and silent sacrifice; poems, works of art, songs praising the love of homeland, country, and the dedication of generations of cadres and soldiers of the provincial armed forces.

The creative campaign will be held from October 31, 2024 to July 31, 2025. The summary and award ceremony will be held on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Dak Lak Provincial Armed Forces.

Colonel Tran Minh Trong said that over the past 80 years, the armed forces of Dak Lak province have always promoted the spirit of solidarity, proactiveness, creativity, and harmonious coordination between forces, sharing hardships, resilience, indomitability, intelligence, and creativity, creating brilliant milestones such as the victories of Buon Ho, Cheo Reo, Lac Thien, Khue Ngoc Dien, Cu M'gar... and the pinnacle was the victory of Buon Ma Thuot on March 10, 1975, liberating Dak Lak province.
After the day Dak Lak province and the South were completely liberated, Dak Lak province continued to confront "internal enemies, external invaders". Following the call of the Cambodian United Front for National Salvation, the armed forces and people of all ethnic groups in Dak Lak province continued to enter a new battle, fighting, sweeping, and basically eliminating the reactionary Fulro forces in the area, firmly protecting the sovereignty of the Central Highlands border of the Fatherland and helping our friends liberate Mondulkiri province (Cambodia), reviving the country of pagodas and temples, fulfilling the noble international duty.
In peacetime, the armed forces of Dak Lak province have always proactively done a good job of advising the Provincial Party Committee, the People's Council, and the Provincial People's Committee to comprehensively lead and direct local defense and military tasks, building Dak Lak province into a solid defense zone; organizing the building of forces and participating in building the political system at the grassroots level, especially building a solid "people's hearts" position; coordinating with branches and functional forces to maintain political security and social order and safety in the province, creating favorable conditions for socio-economic development.
In addition, the provincial armed forces also do a good job in training, combat readiness; mass mobilization, special propaganda; natural disaster and epidemic prevention, search and rescue, etc.
At the same time, the provincial armed forces have closely coordinated with localities, political and social organizations, and military units stationed in the area to carry out mass mobilization work, effectively implementing Project 1371 "Promoting the role of the People's Army in participating in the dissemination and education of law, mobilizing people to comply with the law at the grassroots level in the period of 2021-2027", contributing significantly to raising people's legal awareness, maintaining political stability, building and consolidating a basic, interconnected, and solid national defense posture in the province, which has been highly appreciated by local Party committees and authorities, and trusted and loved by the people.
From the merits and efforts of generations of cadres and soldiers of the armed forces of Dak Lak province over the past 79 years, it can be affirmed that throughout the length of the nation's revolution, the armed forces of Dak Lak province have overcome countless difficulties, hardships, and sacrifices, excellently completed all assigned tasks, always maintained an important role and made great contributions to the development process of Dak Lak province. They have been trusted and highly appreciated by the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Military Region 5 Command, the Party Committee, the government and the people of the province, worthy of the glorious tradition of "Absolute loyalty - steadfastness, courage - creative solidarity - determination to fight and win".
