On April 20, the authorities of District 1 (HCMC) filed a case to handle a number of violations at Nowpay Software Technology Company Limited (Nguyen Van Trang Street, Ben Thanh Ward) and clarified that 2 male customers tested positive for drugs.
Authorities in District 1 (HCMC) inspected a bar in the area and discovered two male guests testing positive for drugs.
Previously, on the evening of April 19 and early morning of April 20, District 1 Police coordinated with the District 1 Interdisciplinary Inspection Team to inspect Empire Music Club (belonging to Nowpay Software Technology Company Limited) on Nguyen Van Trang Street (Ben Thanh Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City).
At the time of inspection, this bar was operating. Here, the joint force made a record of violations with many acts such as: signing labor contracts without written documents with employees for a term of 1 month or more; organizing forms of entertainment outside the time from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. every day.
Through a quick check of customers using the service at the facility, the authorities discovered that two male customers tested positive for drugs (ketamine). These two people were then taken to Ben Thanh Ward Police for further investigation and handling according to regulations.
Previously, late at night on April 13, the authorities also suddenly inspected Saigon Restaurant Company Limited (Le Thi Hong Gam Street, Cau Ong Lanh Ward).
During the inspection, authorities discovered that the facility was organizing karaoke business activities in room 302.
The inspection force has drawn up a record of administrative violations against this company for operating karaoke services without a license and not signing a labor contract as prescribed.
The inspection team requested Saigon Restaurant Company Limited to immediately stop its violations and strictly comply with relevant legal regulations, not allowing social evils to arise during its business operations.
