According to the report of the Department of Agriculture (Department of Agriculture and Environment), currently in the province there are 2 outbreaks of ASF that have not passed 21 days and need to be closely monitored and supervised to avoid widespread spread.
Specifically, continue to monitor and handle the epidemic at the farm of Mrs. Tran Thi Ngoc Anh (Huong Binh 2 quarter, Long An ward). Previously, on September 3, 2025, 7 pigs of Mrs. Anh's household fell ill with symptoms of not eating, fever, and difficulty breathing. On September 5, 2025, the Department of Agriculture sent test samples to the Central Veterinary Diagnosis and Testing Center II (positive results for ASF). After receiving the results from the authorities, the entire herd of pigs was destroyed, the outbreak was promptly treated and disinfected.
At the same time, continue to strengthen the implementation of epidemic prevention and control measures around the livestock household of Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong (Hamlet 3, Tuyen Binh Commune) according to regulations, because the epidemic has not passed 21 days.
Since the beginning of 2025, ASF has occurred in 26 households in 16 communes and wards in the province, destroying 1,343 pigs, with a total weight of nearly 50,000 kg. The outbreaks have been promptly handled, disinfected and sterilized in accordance with regulations./.
