After 5 years of implementing the Project "Preserving and promoting the fine traditional cultural values ​​of ethnic minorities associated with tourism development" (Project 6) under the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas for the 2021-2030 period, positive results have been achieved in the beneficiary localities. In the coming time, the implementation of Project 6 needs to be adjusted to suit the new situation.

Preserving traditional cultural values

Since 2022, Tay Khanh Son commune has benefited from Project 6, thereby contributing to restoring, preserving and promoting the traditional cultural values ​​of the Raglai people; fostering knowledge for the staff working in cultural work; investing in equipment for performing arts activities... Specifically, the commune has established and supported the activities of 4 traditional art troupes; built 2 community bookcases; purchased cultural equipment for 3 villages Du Oai, Apa 1, Apa 2. According to Ms. Cao Thi Hang - Vice Chairman of Tay Khanh Son Commune People's Committee, in the coming time, the locality still wishes to benefit from Project 6 to have conditions to invest in building more cultural institutions to serve the culture and spirit of the people.

Despite many efforts, the preservation and promotion of traditional cultural values ​​of ethnic minorities in the commune associated with tourism activities still faces many difficulties. Therefore, the locality wishes to continue implementing Project 6 to have conditions to complete the set goals, at the same time improving the spiritual and cultural life of the people.

According to Mr. Le Van Hoa - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the implementation of Project 6 in the province has contributed to improving the material and spiritual life of people in ethnic minority and mountainous areas; many cultural and sports facilities in the area have been paid attention to, supported for repair and new construction. In addition, the preservation and promotion of the fine traditional cultural values ​​of ethnic minorities in the province also helps the younger generation of ethnic minorities appreciate and understand more about the traditional cultural values ​​of their people through teaching, practicing, and cultural and artistic activities. Not only bringing about effectiveness in the preservation and promotion of ethnic cultural values, the implementation of Project 6 associated with tourism development also creates products to attract tourists; promotes and introduces unique cultural beauty in the local community.

Continue to implement in the new phase

Recently, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism sent a document to provinces and cities on the implementation of Project 6 in the coming time. Accordingly, provinces, cities, communes and villages in ethnic minority and mountainous areas will focus on implementing 19 component tasks, such as: Restoring, preserving and developing the traditional cultural identity of ethnic minorities with small populations; surveying, inventorying, collecting and documenting traditional cultural heritage of ethnic minorities; organizing the preservation and promotion of typical traditional festivals of ethnic minorities to exploit and build products for tourism development. Along with that, building policies and supporting folk artisans and outstanding ethnic minority artisans; supporting research, restoration, preservation and promotion of intangible culture of ethnic minorities at risk of extinction; supporting activities for traditional art troupes; Support the restoration, embellishment, and prevention of degradation of special national monuments and national monuments of typical value to ethnic minorities...

Continuing to implement Project 6, phase 2025 - 2030, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will focus on implementing 10 groups of tasks and solutions to improve the quantity and quality of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers who are ethnic minorities; preserve and promote the good cultural identity of ethnic minorities along with eliminating backward customs and practices; build a strong grassroots political system, maintain political security, social order and safety, ensure national security and defense; consolidate and strengthen the great solidarity bloc of ethnic groups. In addition, the department also proposed to adjust the design of Project 6 in the new phase to suit the characteristics, situation and conditions after the merger of provincial-level administrative units and the implementation of 2-level local government.
