To promote their role in representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers, trade unions at all levels in Ninh Binh province have organized many practical and meaningful activities, helping union members and workers feel secure in their work, committed to their businesses, and contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality.

Financial assistance for house construction was provided to Ms. Bui Thi Hong Hanh, a worker at Pretty Vina Co., Ltd., Hoa Mac Industrial Park.

Houses filled with the warmth of union spirit

The program to support the construction and repair of housing for disadvantaged workers is one of the practical activities widely implemented by trade unions at all levels in Ninh Binh province; helping workers stabilize their housing, feel secure in their work and production, and improve their lives.

Ms. Bui Thi Hong Hanh, a worker at Pretty Vina Co., Ltd. in Hoa Mac Industrial Park, is classified as a near-poor household and has lived in difficult conditions for many years without stable housing. She single-handedly raised four young children on her meager worker's salary. Given her circumstances, the Ninh Binh Provincial Labor Union provided her with 50 million VND to build a house. With the help of relatives and colleagues, her new 110m² house was completed in April 2026.

In her spacious new home, Ms. Hanh shared that the support from the trade union organization not only provided material value but also served as a great source of encouragement, giving her more motivation to overcome difficulties, work with peace of mind, and take care of her children as they grow up.

For Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hong's family in Da Bo Dao village, Binh My commune, the Lunar New Year of 2026 (Year of the Horse) became even more special as they gathered in their spacious new home. For her, this is not only a safe place to live but also a meaningful gift, providing motivation for the family to strive for a stable life.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hong stated that her family is in particularly difficult circumstances as her husband unfortunately suffered an accident and lost his ability to work, and her three children are of school age. For many years, the family has had to live with her parents, and all household expenses depend on her meager factory worker salary.

In that situation, trade union branches at all levels coordinated with local authorities and the enterprise where Ms. Hong worked to mobilize support for the construction of a "Trade Union Shelter" house. Thanks to the Ninh Binh Provincial Federation of Labor's support of 50 million VND, along with the help of family and relatives, her new house has taken shape.

The union-sponsored homes of Ms. Hanh and Ms. Hong's families are the result of the practical support provided by the trade union organization to union members and workers in difficult circumstances. From 2023 to 2025, trade unions at all levels in Ninh Binh province mobilized resources to support the construction and repair of 96 "Trade Union Homes," with a total budget of nearly 3 billion VND. In the first quarter of 2026, the Provincial Federation of Labor will continue to support the construction of 5 more homes for union members in difficult circumstances, contributing to helping workers stabilize their lives and feel secure in their work and production.

Providing practical care and protecting the rights of workers.

Trade unions at all levels in the province are actively taking care of the lives of union members and workers in difficult circumstances.

The Ninh Binh Provincial Federation of Labor currently manages over 1,500 grassroots trade unions with more than 358,000 members. Following the motto "All for the union members and workers," trade unions at all levels have implemented many practical activities to care for the material and spiritual lives of workers.

Seyang Corporation Vietnam Co., Ltd., located in Nhat Tan Industrial Cluster, Kim Thanh Ward, Ninh Binh Province, currently has over 300 union members and employees. The union has actively coordinated with the company's leadership to care for the lives and protect the rights of employees, build a safe working environment; organize regular health check-ups for employees; and reduce working hours for pregnant women and those with young children. Through dialogue and negotiation, the company reformed the product-based bonus system for production departments, increasing it from 10% to 70% based on work completion; and simultaneously increased the basic salary by two levels for all workers from April 1, 2026.

Ms. Le Thi Mai Huong, a worker at Seyang Corporation Vietnam Co., Ltd., said that having worked there for 9 years, she has always enjoyed a safe working environment with guaranteed salaries, bonuses, and benefits. In 2025, thanks to a routine health check-up organized by the company and the trade union, she was able to detect thyroid cancer in time, receive effective treatment, and is now in stable health, continuing her commitment to the company.

The Vinh Tru Commune Trade Union currently has over 6,700 members. In recent times, the Commune Trade Union has directed its grassroots unions to intensify the dissemination of labor laws, trade union regulations, and social insurance information; strengthen inspection and supervision of the implementation of collective labor agreements; and coordinate the organization of annual conferences for officials, employees, and workers.

According to Tran Thi Hai Yen, Chairwoman of the Vinh Tru Commune Trade Union, many units have proactively supplemented regulations to benefit workers and provided support to union members in difficult circumstances. Specifically, during the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, the commune's Trade Union distributed 320 gifts to disadvantaged workers; 35 out of 41 grassroots trade unions organized the "Tet Reunion - Spring Gratitude to the Party" program, giving gifts to over 6,400 workers with a total budget of nearly 2.5 billion VND.

Along with implementing the policy of streamlining and reorganizing the organizational structure, trade unions at all levels in Ninh Binh province continue to promote the care and protection of the rights of union members and workers. During the 2023-2025 period, 100% of administrative agencies and public service units organized conferences for officials, civil servants, and employees; 83% of grassroots trade unions in non-state enterprises organized conferences for workers; and more than 2,100 dialogues between trade unions and employers were organized. The rate of grassroots trade unions signing collective labor agreements annually reached 82%. Trade unions at all levels also visited and presented over 320,000 gifts worth over 225 billion VND to disadvantaged union members and workers; and maintained many cultural and sports activities, creating a spirit of emulation in labor and production.

In the first quarter of 2026, trade unions at all levels in the province promptly grasped the living conditions, employment situation, and concerns of workers; and strengthened supervision of the payment of wages, bonuses, and welfare benefits. During the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, more than 19,300 gifts were given to union members and workers in difficult circumstances; 653 out of 1,512 grassroots trade unions organized the "Tet Reunion - Spring Gratitude to the Party" program, contributing to caring for the material and spiritual lives of workers.

From 2023 to the present, trade unions at all levels in Ninh Binh province have donated more than 320,000 gifts worth over 225 billion VND to disadvantaged union members and workers.

According to Nguyen Hai Long, Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial Federation of Labor, in the coming time, trade unions at all levels in the province will continue to innovate the content and methods of their activities, promote their role in representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers; closely monitor the ideological situation, public opinion, and labor relations in enterprises; promptly handle emerging issues related to labor disputes and collective work stoppages; and provide legal support to workers.

In addition, trade unions at all levels are promoting membership growth, establishing grassroots trade unions, improving the quality of trade union officials; strengthening inspection, supervision, social criticism, guiding trade union financial management, and caring for the material and spiritual lives of union members and workers, contributing to building harmonious and stable labor relations and promoting local socio -economic development.
