First meeting of the Subcommittee on Serving the 14th National Congress

Comrade Truong Thi Mai delivered the concluding remarks at the meeting.

At the meeting, Comrade Lam Thi Phuong Thanh, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Deputy Head of the Standing Office of the Central Committee of the Party, presented the draft Plan for organizing and serving the 14th National Congress of the Party; and the draft Conclusion on assigning tasks for organizing and serving the 14th National Congress of the Party.

During the discussion and feedback on the drafts, the members of the Subcommittee further clarified the task groups and responsibilities of the Subcommittee members in leading and coordinating the work, as well as those of the relevant agencies and units.

Concluding the session, Comrade Truong Thi Mai highly appreciated the opinions and discussions. She also emphasized several points that need attention. She stated that the Sub-committee for Serving the 14th National Congress was established by a Decision of the 13th Central Committee. The Sub-committee is tasked with preparing the content and work for the 14th National Congress of the Party. The Sub-committee has a very large and specific workload. It has three general tasks and powers, which will be further specified into over 100 tasks assigned to various agencies, units, and sub-committee members. Therefore, Comrade Truong Thi Mai requested that, based on the drafts presented, each member continue to add and contribute written comments to the Standing Committee of the Sub-committee for compilation and refinement.

Comrade Truong Thi Mai emphasized that the members of the Sub-committee are experienced in serving the Congress over the years. However, in the new context, facing new requirements and tasks with many changes and fluctuations, it is necessary to be proactive in all situations, including considering urgent situations in security and food safety work to have contingency plans and scenarios.

The comrade also noted that, as of now, five subcommittees of the 14th National Congress have become operational; therefore, the activities of the Service Subcommittee cannot be separated from the activities of the other subcommittees of the Congress. There will be many interrelated tasks that require unified direction among the subcommittees.

The events taking place before, during, and after the Congress were reasonable, harmonious, and profound, aiming to create consensus among the people. Their widespread impact constituted a profound political activity, creating a spirit and atmosphere of enthusiasm to encourage the entire Party and people to resolutely achieve the goals and tasks set for each year. This promoted the highest possible achievement of the goals and targets set forth in the resolutions of the Party Congresses at all levels and the 13th National Congress.

Comrade Truong Thi Mai urged the members of the Sub-committee to uphold the spirit, responsibility, and experience from previous terms to successfully complete the Sub-committee's tasks. The Head of the Sub-committee requested that each member proactively develop detailed plans linked to the plans of their respective agencies and units, and to the coordination program, in order to successfully complete the overall tasks of the Sub-committee.
