According to Box Office Vietnam, the animated film directed by Yukiyo Teramoto earned more than VND27 billion, with 286,374 tickets sold and 5,701 screenings – the highest of the week. This is the film celebrating the 45th anniversary of the Doraemon brand, since Nobita's Dinosaur (1980), so its appeal is considered "not surprising".

The film officially premiered on May 23 and is expected to continue to make a strong breakthrough at the summer box office.

The appearance of Doraemon has caused many changes in the box office rankings. Detective Kien: The Headless Case fell to second place with more than 14 billion VND, reaching 157,000 tickets in the last 3 days of the weekend, the total revenue is now nearly 229 billion VND.
Number 3 position belongs to Yadang: Three Faces of Flipping the Table - an action comedy film from Korea with an opening revenue of over 10 billion VND, total revenue currently exceeding 12 billion VND.
Flip Side 8: The Twisted Bracelet maintained its position in the top 5 with nearly 8 billion VND in revenue last week, bringing the total revenue to more than 220 billion VND. Following is Until Dawn: Horrible Secret , reaching more than 6.3 billion VND.
Notably, the movie Mua lua – Anh trai dua ngan cong gai , although only had less than 800 screenings, thanks to the effects of the game show and sold-out concert nights, the film earned more than 6 billion VND, showing its strong appeal to fans.

The Vietnamese box office market continues to be bustling as Lilo & Stitch – Disney’s live-action version – officially hits theaters. The film promises to be an attractive choice for family audiences this summer, with its familiar content, strange alien images and elaborate special effects technology.
In addition, the box office will also welcome two new horror films, The Sinner and The Hook.
