Women in Can Tho are doing a good job in supporting the army.

(CT) - Since the beginning of the year, the Women's Union of Can Tho City has implemented many practical activities, contributing to the effective implementation of the work of supporting the armed forces. These include coordinating the donation of 20 "Great Solidarity" houses to poor and near-poor households and giving 3 gifts to orphans in Lai Hoa commune on the occasion of the 2026 National Border Guard Day; mobilizing and distributing over 1,810 gifts to demobilized and conscripted young people, totaling over 588 million VND. The Women's Union also actively participated in disseminating information about the Military Service Law, encouraging young people to volunteer for military service, and supporting military families in difficult circumstances.

Representatives of the Can Tho City Women's Union presented gifts to orphans in Lai Hoa commune on the occasion of the 2026 National Border Guard Day.

In 2026, the city had over 5,100 citizens enlisting in the military, including 4 women. More than 1,100 female cadres and members participated in logistical support, distributing over 2,200 gifts worth over 1 billion VND to new recruits. These meaningful activities contributed to spreading a spirit of responsibility and providing strong support for the front lines.
