To contribute to the construction of the new rural areas, the Women's Union of Dong Le commune has actively promoted and mobilized women's union members to join hands in implementing, especially the criteria on environment, income, and poverty reduction in accordance with the actual conditions of the locality. At the same time, the union also created conditions for members to borrow capital to develop the economy and participate in training sessions on livestock and crop farming.

Since the beginning of 2025, the local branches have proactively registered to carry out dozens of projects and tasks to participate in the construction of the new rural areas, such as: "Volunteer Saturday", "Green Sunday" to collect and classify waste on village roads, alleys, households, 20 self-managed roads, cemeteries and memorial houses for heroic martyrs. Currently, most families in the locality have 2 trash bins to classify organic and inorganic waste. Many branches have built a "Green House" model to collect waste to raise funds to help members and people in difficult circumstances in the locality...
To increase income and reduce poverty for HVPN, the association also effectively exploited loan sources, especially capital from the Social Policy Bank, helping 943 members borrow capital to develop production and business with an amount of over 82 billion VND. In addition, the association at all levels also promoted vocational training, job creation, support for seeds, capital, and production experience; mobilized members to help each other develop the economy, apply science and technology transfer, and actively introduce high-yield, high-value crop and livestock varieties into commodity production. Thanks to that, many women have escaped poverty and become rich legitimately.
In 2020, the Women's Union of Ba Tam village implemented the pilot model of "Collecting scrap to help HVPN and children in difficult circumstances" and "Charity rice jar". Up to now, the two models have earned tens of millions of VND from selling scrap and more than 2 tons of rice. With that income, the union has given over 250 gifts to families in difficult circumstances, sick, and seriously ill. This money also supported some HVPN to buy health insurance cards and breeding chickens, contributing to helping members in difficult circumstances to improve their lives.
Head of the Women's Union of Ba Tam village, Le Thi Thu, shared: “The purpose of the scrap collection model, the “Love Rice Jar” is to help HVPN raise awareness of environmental protection, classify waste, improve community health and save money. After implementation, the village built a “Green House” to store all kinds of scrap at the village cultural house. Every week, members bring scrap to collect, when it is full, they will sell it to raise money for the fund. For organic waste, women will compost it to make fertilizer for plants.”

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien, HVPN Tan Lap sub-area confided: “In order to contribute to the construction of the new rural area, we HVPN regularly clean the roads, classify household waste, and actively work and produce to increase income. Recently, we joined hands to carry out the "Flower Road" project to celebrate the Commune Party Congress. With this road and the previous flower roads planted and cared for by women, we have contributed to making the landscape of the residential area greener, cleaner and more beautiful."
Chairwoman of Dong Le Commune Women's Union Bui Thi Kim Nhung said: "In order for the new rural construction program to be effective, the commune Women's Union will continue to launch a movement to encourage women to actively implement the new rural construction program with the goal of each union having at least one project or task undertaken by women. Each union has a practical task in the criteria for new rural construction, especially the criteria in the movements "5 no, 3 clean", "5 yes, 3 clean". In addition, the union has integrated the content of new rural construction with women's movements to join hands in protecting the environment and developing the socio-economy".
