A80 General Rehearsal: Affirming the strength of the entire army and the spirit of great national unity

After the torch-lighting ceremony, on the morning of August 30, the forces participating in the parade and marching at the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 (task A80) continued to conduct a general rehearsal at Ba Dinh Square, Hanoi.

The rehearsal consisted of two parts: Performing the Party and State's rituals and ceremonies and marching; with the participation of nearly 16,000 officers and soldiers, including 43 walking groups (26 army groups, 17 police groups) and foreign army groups, 18 standing groups, 14 military and special forces vehicle groups of the army and police.

Opening the parade rehearsal, the heroic Vietnam People's Air Force squadrons flew over the sky of the Fatherland. Leading the way were the Mi-171, Mi-17, Mi-8 helicopter squadrons, carrying the Party and National flags flying over the historic Ba Dinh Square, symbolizing the strength of great solidarity, the pride of the Party and the nation, demonstrating the mettle, intelligence, and aspiration to build the country, taking off and rising high in the new era. Next, the Casa C-295 and C212i transport aircraft formations - the "silent warriors", taking on combat coordination, reconnaissance, transportation, and search and rescue. Also participating in the welcoming flight were the Yak-130, L-39NG, and Su-30MK2.

In addition, at the rehearsal, there was an explanation and introduction on the screen to follow the armed forces parading at sea at Cam Ranh Military Base, Khanh Hoa province.

After 40 years since 1985, the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2 will be the second anniversary held at Ba Dinh Square with a large-scale parade of vehicles, weapons, and equipment.

Notably, the vehicles and artillery that appeared this time are all modern weapons in the inventory of the Vietnam People's Army and the Vietnam People's Public Security. Notably, the missile systems, UAVs, and combat vehicles were researched, designed, produced, and developed by Vietnam itself. In addition, many weapons such as missiles, tanks, armored vehicles, and rocket artillery have also been improved and modernized by Vietnam with many modern equipment.

Military vehicles and artillery include: Armored tanks; self-propelled artillery, rocket artillery, surface-to-surface missiles; anti-aircraft artillery, anti-aircraft missiles; electronic warfare vehicles...

The Police's special vehicles include: Traffic command vehicles leading convoys; protection vehicles, escorting Party and State leaders and international delegations; Mobile Combat Command Center vehicles; Bulletproof armored special vehicles; Anti-riot special vehicles; Multi-purpose combat support special vehicles; Fire prevention, firefighting, rescue and salvage vehicles...

After the ceremony, the groups: Honor Guard (including the National Emblem model car; the Party flag, the National flag; the portrait car of President Ho Chi Minh; the model car symbolizing the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam); the walking group (including the walking group of the Vietnam People's Army, foreign armies, militia and guerrillas, the walking group of the Vietnam People's Public Security); the military vehicles, artillery, special police vehicles; the mass groups (representing workers, farmers, youth, women, veterans, overseas Vietnamese...) took turns passing through the stage in front of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum.

This rehearsal has the participation of four foreign military blocs, including: China, the Russian Federation, Laos and Cambodia.

At the rehearsal, the parade groups demonstrated the heroic spirit and momentum of the people's armed forces, combined with the rhythmic march of weapons, equipment, and special vehicles, showing the modernization of the Vietnam People's Army and People's Public Security.

The basic horizontal and vertical formations are guaranteed. The blocks move evenly, beautifully, and uniformly, demonstrating the combined strength, combat readiness, and regularity of the armed forces and the spirit of great national unity.

Compared to the preliminary rehearsal and two previous general rehearsals at Ba Dinh Square, the mass groups including: Representatives of the solidarity of Vietnamese ethnic groups; representatives of 54 ethnic groups; veterans; former People's Police; workers; farmers; revolutionary press; intellectuals; businessmen, women; overseas Vietnamese, youth and culture and sports have made significant progress.

After passing through the stage at Ba Dinh Square, the parade groups split into many directions, passing through the central streets of Hanoi before returning to the planned assembly point.

During the rehearsal, thousands of students from universities, academies and colleges participated in cheering and forming unique art forms on the stands. Along with that, the art performance "Drum Festival" performed by more than 1,000 students and officers of the People's Police Academy made a strong impression on the audience, when synchronously combining drums with flag, lion, lion and dragon dances on the large stage, creating a vibrant space, recreating the spirit of solidarity, discipline and youthfulness of the Police force.

After the rehearsal on the morning of August 30, the blocks officially participated in the parade at 6:30 a.m. on September 2 at Ba Dinh Square.
